What a game!

I had to go out at the last minute on Saturday and missed the first 10 minutes of the game. When I got back we were 3 goals down and things looked ominous. What a turnaround after that -the pressure, the intensity, and the skills under pressure by both sides were good, better than I thought they would be from the eagles.
I thought Banfield did some really good things at critical points of the game, Wooden was terrific on one of the games most dangerous players. Gaspar impressed - he is good and Wilson kept knocking 2 or 3 guys down everytime he went for the ball.
A fantastic team effort. Its the first eagles game I have seen this season, and may be the last for a while, but I savoured every fine minute of it.
All teams will now fear the trip to Subi, and that is exactly what we need them to feel....I am now looking forward to round 15, when Essendon have to come to Subi.

Its nice to know that we CAN match it and even beat the best in the league. Im not to sure but were the lions at almost full strength? Anyway it was a FANTASTIC game and great considering we are missing Milly, Fido, Phill Read, Chad Morrison and a host of others...Our second tier players are really standing up!
