Metal Gear Solid 4.

One of the very best and most emotional MGS games. Konami need to find a way to break it out of PS3 prison onto the Master Collection Volume 2. What a video game.

Yeah, the only Metal Gear Solid game I've never played because I never had a PS3. Frustrating. Master Collection Vol. 2 would be a day one purchase for me if 4 is included. Which it has to be.

Apparently the game has always been notoriously hard to port over to a modern console because of the PS3 hardware and that’s why it’s still a PS3 only release. So even the MC Volume 2 is a wait and see for MGS 4. More fans of the series need to experience the game. It really is a gem.

Mario Golf Toadstool Tour on Gamecube, heinously addictive
Sim City SNES, heinously addictive
FIFA 20 PS4, heinously addictive

Ending up doing it with a block build - one I usually never go for, but got offered Jugg early which isn't the greatest card but took it anyway, and then took Barricade at end of Act 1. From there I just leant into the heavy block cards.

Now I have to move on to 1 credit finish TMNT turtle's in time

Ohhh that's a challenge!!

I've clocked the original SF2 without using a continue. In fact I've done it securing perfects EVERY round. Have done the same in the original MK (can't wait for the MK collection later this year!) - but MK2/3 are impossible for me lol.

WWE 2K25 PS5

Only really giving it a go because it just became temporarily free via PS+ catalog, and it'll probably be like a previous WWE title and be one of the 3 free games of the month toward the end of the year.

In one breath I wish they would do something totally different as there are elements of the original Smackdown games (1 - 2 JBI etc) that still exist in the 2K era engine today (same animations). Yet once I start playing it, I get addicted regardless lol.

Funny thing is year on year they've said how the pc version is just the previous generation console version..... having played 2K22 on Xbox.... and then following it up with 2K23 on pc/ps5 and 2K24 on pc/ps5..... I have to say the pc version (despite being based on the Xbox One / PS4) looked far better. The extra oomph in the pc settings helps (not just frame rate based, but how detailed the arenas are, how detailed the wrestlers look etc).

I can see the difference in the graphics for 2K25 (even though SOME wrestlers still look off... but that's part and parcel of the series year on year). I don't think I'll end up with teh pc version (ultimately the main difference for me in 22-24 is just the slight variation of wrestlers available to select), I'd still be curious to see HOW it plays.... and if the pc master race rules again.

System Shock remake - not digging it that much honestly. Hard to get around the map as everywhere looks the same no matter where you turn. Probably an effect of becoming accustomed to modern gaming, but this one doesn't hold your hand in any way as far as direction on where to go or what to do goes.

Is that the Ragnarok one?

Absolutely loved those two games. Played them back to back about 18 months ago, really haven't tackled another game that big since. They were unreal.

Yes, that’s correct.

God of War Valhalla is the Roguelike DLC of GOW Ragnarok.
