What Bands Do You Hate????

How old are you? You'd have to be under 14, right? I mean, your punctuation and all round english skills aren't much chop, and you like bands such as MCR, Simple Plan, etc, etc.

The reason i type so badly here is because im used to microsoft word, and rest assured i do have good english skills its just i dont always opt to use them. I must also stress that i do write rather well but the bloody box that i have to type this doesnt do one much favours. Ive said on numerous occasions that i dont like SP i just listen to them for comic relief, cant a boy do that without being attacked. MCR bring up many social issues in Their albums a few of which being Cancer which kills one in three people, another being drugs which many people die from. Guys think back to your youth and ask yourself did i like this music at the time and im sure your answer would be yes, but now im sure you think your taste in music was rubbish.

Yes thats what i love about rock music, it addreses social issues wheras most other music doesnt. At my school we have been told that rock music is evil and we should stay away from it. We had a SAC about it and i wrote that rock addreses social issues, it doesnt degrade woman like RnB and rap, and i wrote that it is poetry wheras rubbish like Eminem is Commercially driven.

Why must you be ignorant people for. Look Theme and concept are basically the same thing. Now enlighten me on what their styles and themes are considering you know so much about them.

They couldn't be more different if they tried, explain to me what a theme is?

Arctic monkeys are cool, but a them and concept are totally different.

Somebody in this thread said that MCR stole the concept of the black parade from Greeanday, i.e teenage angst, opera elements, and other stuff. And listen to fluorescent adolenscent by the monkeys, proabably their best song in the new album, i think he is talking about the prostitute from when the sun goes down.

Actually, I think he was saying thats just the whole basic concept of MCR, not just Black Parade, and its spot on IMO

I'm no old fart either, I'm 20 and the music I enjoyed at around your age is just about the same as the music I enjoy now. Bad Religion, NoFX, Propagandhi, Adolescents, Dead Kennedys, etc as well as some non-punk rock bands. I just hate anything emo-ish, and any watered down stuff that is put on a pedestal by the mainstream as 'punk rock', this is why I don't like MCR as they are a bit of both.

Fallout boy is definatly emo, panic at the disco is definatly emo, MCR not so much, but they have a mass following from emos, which is why so many people refer to them as an emo band

Yes very correct about that, Panic arent emo because their music is not really emotional, they sing commercial crap that is why they are so disrespected, and fallout are most certainly not Emo, they have several songs about how they are not emo. Just because you wear a suit that doesnt make you emo. You were very correct about the MCR part.

I said emo-ish. Real emos would reject them as watered down mainstream tripe. Hey I hate the real emo/screamo genre (the modern one) but I hate the watered down emoness much more, especially when they tart up their image to appeal to any individuals with emo tendencies.

Lay of Deeman12. He obviously listens to music, but it not at the age where he can appreciate music.

If that makes sense. No 12-15 year old (I am guessing you are around ths age) really 'understands' music, but just listens to it if they think it is good.
