What did we get for Wanganeen?

I think Heff and Danny Mac were involved.
I`m grasping at straws here but we also saved a fair whack in the salary cap, which opened the door for others to be paid a bit more. Wanganeen , is probably Ports highest paid player and as usual we could not have fitted everyone under, not that that was the reason, nothing would have kept him at Essendon, he walked, and walked.
We played Sydney on the Saturday night, he was home in S.A on the Monday morning, that`s gratitude for you. The only joy i get is that he missed out on 2000.

We got Heffernan. As far as I can remember, we got a priority pick for Wanganeen from which we picked up Heffernan, and we got McAlister for Cummings (trade). Picks 2 and 4 - Although the first few picks were priority picks for Wanganeen and Downsborough and somebody else I think.
