Might be lucky and sleep til 5 if my angel doesn't work out Santa has been yet, spend the next 2 hours with her opening presents and yes i do mean 2 hours as the room is always full of them. Play with her toys, commence drinking by about 9... only thing that makes chrissy with the family barable. Pizzled by 2, have lunch with the relies who you see once a year whether you like it or not... have my well meaning aunties ask when i am getting married or when i am having more kids.

Drink some more, yell at the child cause i was stupid enough to buy her the noisiest toy in the shop... and look forward to the blissful day that is Boxing day nursing a hangover watching the cricket :)

For the last few year's it has pretty much just meant a long over due day off!

Chucked in the day job a few months ago though, so i've had plenty of them lately!

Now it will just mean another sleep in after a big Xmas Eve, and then the mandatory feed, few drinks and then catch up in the night time with whichever mates have also had enough family time for one day!

I'm pretty sure that unless you have young children or sibblings, Xmas isnt much more than just a big feed and a ******** up.

Relaxing (not) time with a 2 and 5 year old opening every present under the tree, the 2 year old playing with the paper instead of toys and the 5 year old giving everything a cursory glance then heading outside to look for lizards. Lunchish with rellies, maybe some fishing..... Boxing day back to work and the 27th the 2 year old's birthday party where he gets to play with more wrapping paper

feliz navidad

A time to celebrate the birth of Christ and to reflect on the miracle that God once entered the world as human like us.

Cool brews cool dudes cool buddies, I feel great man I feel great

I hate my life I hate my job and I hate my father but I feel great man..

Think ill go pick a fight

I hate Christmas day.

I go to rellies places who hate each other but pretend to like each other. They fight and bitch and moan about each other and generally it's a shocker of a day. It's gauged as a good day when less than 3 of the chicks finish up in tears.

I like Christmas night cos I go around a mates place and we all take a load off our feet and shoulders.

Boxing day - TEST MATCH...........HOORAY.

Off work from Friday midday to 9 Jan, so I'm at least looking forward to that part.

For me, Christmas is about those little traditions that evolve over time. Every year I do my Nan's xmas shopping and wrapping for her. When I'm at home, we have a massive street party in the driveway of our neighbours place, admiring everyone's Christmas lights and laughing at the nuff nuffs who try and walk barefoot over the Robinson's prickly grass when they come to see the lights. I also find that there's something peaceful about going to church and singing Christmas carols at this time of year.

It means a 600k round trip to eat a lunch, make sardonic small talk with my dumb arse brother and his wife, listen to my mother crap on endlessly about the same old crap she has crapped on about a thousand Christmasses before and to then miss seeing my father by five minutes because he can't coordinate his schedule. Bloody farmers.

But on the plus side I get a few days off work and gifts.
