Most interstate supporters really rate Freo and plenty see top four as a bit of a standard, but the team is well liked in Melbourne so it's hard to read that much into it.
So much talent but I just don't know if there's cohesion and there definitely isn't an inspiring coach. rhetoric from the management talking about 'long term success' is a great blanket to excusing immediate results, but it needs to happen now.
It feels like there's about 10 guys in the team worthy of being AA but I think everyone internally overrates that lower dozen or so.
I think it'll be a top eight finish with one win in finals and we never really kick on, but I have seen some fantastic sides (people underrate how good that 2006 team was) never kick on and a million big name trades absolutely dud it up. not sure I like the whole Pickett next year rhetoric, already feels we're accepting that he's the missing piece... next year.

Tonight shows why "Flagmantle" only exists in the AFLW League, Men zero chance of 1st-8th on ladder, expect another 9th-12th bracket finish for 2025. Time to look forward to a new Men's Coach and a damaging AFLW Season.

I think Freo have a really good list and will continue to improve, but as a club/supporter base etc, can you just wind it back from ‘we can’t wait till we win the flag’ to ‘we can’t wait to play finals regularly’ and go from there?
I get that you have to believe to achieve etc etc and I’m sure internally it’s great to have that mindset but when you put that out there and can’t back it up on the field…it just seems…premature.

Wouldn’t scrape together a decent team if you merged Fremantle with West Coast.
Flagmantle took care of AFC (Adelaide or Annoying Football Club?) the week before and then the Flagmantle effect really backfired last night.
The reality is Flagmantle are one of 8 middle order sides, inconsistent teams that will be lurking around the 8, or just make the 8 or miss the 8.
Teams that will most likely finish in the 7th to 14th range.

One of our supposedly pre eminent experts on fox footy has them as the best list in the comp and his flag tip. And this bloke gets paid for his opinions. Christ almighty. Freo are not in the top 10 lists in the comp. Their last 15 or so h&a games who have they beaten? And how is their record in the road in that time? They are pretenders of the highest order. List is just not the good, portly coached, game plan that belongs to a bygone era. Some of the “expert” opinions on them for this year are downright embarrassing

I have a theory why they continue to deliver mediocre levels of tragic pain and suffering to their supporters and major Sponsors.
They always accept defeat early, give up and never make comebacks from more than 5 goals down.

Will win most of their games in Perth and jag another couple. Should be enough to play finals but I wouldn’t say ‘easily’.
