Upsetting now to have never got one of the flags in the 90s but still it will make it much sweeter when it comes. Sometimes knowing that i had to wait and will be old enough to really appreciate it makes it hurt a bit less.

But having said that what games would you like to own on DVD. Patdman and I are over in the US and will be buying Bumps Biffs and Brawlers 1 & 2, as well as the Essendon Final of 2004 and the season highlights from this year. What else would YOU buy...and WHY?

The Debut! Gaz to Nath! GOAL!!!!!

Also. It's heart breaking, but the 89 Grand Final is always good to watch the feats of the great man.

Carlton VrsGeelong -> Riccos kick after siren.

Wouldn't mind quite a few...the most recent one being the trouncing of West Coast in round 21 of last year...especially Nath's pack mark in the first quarter :D

we have the 89 GF, Round 6 or whatever against the Bombers where Kent kicks 7 straight. The 1992 game where we kick 1 billion goals against the Bears.

Good suggestions by all, when they are done and brought I will be sure to share.

GREAT work Carn_the_catters

I have the Rnd 1 1999 game vs. Kangaroos where we kept coming from the dead all night with that Burns to Arnott soccer goal. Also have 1999 game vs. Collingwood where we snapped our 9 game losing streak. Pretty crappy game, just have it for sentimental value, never forget listening to the last quarter on the radio nearly having repetitive heart attacks and then singing along to the song with my old man.

1989 Prem Final for sure. i have it on tape and Ablett was simply at his best and i rate it his best game ever, was totally unstoppable and i remeber as a young kid thinking how lucky i was to see him play, his whole finals camapgin was awesome but that day he was was awesome and a pleasure to watch

89 grand final i'll never watch again as it was just such a waste of time, so many times during the game we lookede to have the Hwks but either we missed easy goals like Flanigan and Malikallis or anderson would snap some arse goal which killed us, Hawks were bleeding that day, we got sucked in by Brererton to, i doubt he was as injured as he made out but he killed us still, so painful a memory

How bad was our last quarter in that game. Thank god for Ricco.
its worth it to see 30,000 carlton supports hearts break similtaniously (sp)

All you need is a DVD recorder & fox footy and your laughing. Have quite a collection including all the winning 2005 games, just to help ease the pain over the off season

Netti you should get in on www.aussietorrents.com and help some of us expats out!!

How long have you been living in the US Scotty?

Been here since mid december and before that i was in Montreal for a couple of months. Will be here for another two years. The only thing I really miss
Pies - mmm love a meat pie
Footy - and it hasnt even started. Hopefully the site from above and a subscription to AFL.COM will get us through. Patdman who posts on this board and is also a geelong supporter is also over here with me. We both work for the same company and got posted here.

Okay i will now be buying

Rnd 21 from this year
89 Prelim
94 Prelim
93 Salmon vs Ablett
04 Knockout Final - essendon.

Just had a trawl through footywire.com...

Games from recent years I would like to get
2002 - Rd12 vs Sydney @ SCG (Great last quarter comeback)
2002 - Rd16 vs Essendon @ TD (Bombers 1st win over Sheedy)
2002 - Rd19 vs StKilda @ TD (Beginning of a rivalry, thriller of a game)
2003 - Rd14 vs Port @ Skilled (Benny to Scarlo...yeah!!!)
2004 - Rd18 vs StKilda @ Skilled (Ripper of a game)
2004 - SF vs Essendon @ MCG (Love this game, was at it and had a ball)
2005 - Rd21 vs WC @ Skilled (Copt this WC...oh yeah, & Nathan! ;) )
2005 - EF vs Melbourne @ MCG (Moondog has a day out)

As for older games, I'm a bit sketchy with my memories apart from some of the obvious ones...1994 prelim vs North, The Ablett vs Salmon shootout...hmm, need some more.
What about the game vs Collingwood where Ablett snr takes "that mark"?
Did we even win that day? I was at the game, remember a lot about the day, but not if we won!?!?
I also remember going to some ripper night games against North Melbourne when Carey was King and Ablett was God, oh the battles!

Can't remember the round or year, but there was a great game against North where near the end Crocker is running in to kick a goal from about 40 out and McGrath runs him down from behind to pretty much save the match. I remember Crocker doing a face plant and what seemed like his head bouncing as they slide on the ground. Wish I could remember which game that was. Anyone? It's probably become better than it was in my imagination over the years as it's one game my brother and I talk about at times, but anyway would like to see that one again.

Nothing to do with Geelong the the comeback match of Essendon vs North is a classic game for supporters of any team I reckon.

That essendon v north game was on my list actually.

I am also thinking of a couple of Brisbane Games, I want the Brisbane Port g/f just for the first quarter/half.

I am also getting bumps biffs and brawlers 1 & 2, great marks and great goals.

AND A SEVERE DENT IN THE WALLET!

I was lucky enough to see the Geelong vs Collingwood game in 89 and saw the great man delivery one of the best bumps I have ever seen.
The fact that it was on Daicos made it even sweeter.
He also kicked 7 goals from memory and played on the HFF.
AHHH them were the days.

Just brought a whole bunch.

Geelong def Kangaroos (94-DPF1)
Essendon def Geelong (93-DR06C)
Geelong def Essendon (89-DPF)
Geelong def Essendon (04-DFS)
Geelong def West Coast (05-DR21C)
Biffs, Bumps & Brawlers DVD Double Pack (VEGD199)
Geelong def St. Kilda (04-DR18F)

The bit in brackets should allow you to figure it out. Year = D(DVD)/round

Was supposed to by the Kangaroos V Essendon "comeback game" but left it off by accident. I think i have a few too many Bombers games anyway!!!

I will probably rip all of these and http://www.aussietorrents.com them so stay tuned. Sharing is CARING

"That Mark", yeah i was front row centre in the Olympic stand! What a memory, one of the all-time best. From memory, the ump paid the mark, put Gaz on a shocker of an angle and he had hurt his back, so he missed and kicked a point. Went off the ground and then Hocking kicked like 3 goals to put the game beyond doubt. That was round 7 in 1994. Collingwood was finishing fast, but that mark saved it for us. Provided the inspiration i guess you could say! Ended up winning by 30 points. But the pies got their revenge back in round 22 later on, beating us by 3 points!

That was possibly the best tackle i've ever seen! Tim just came out of nowhere! Classic! I believe it was the Round 15 game in 1997.. anyone correct me if im wrong, but it may have been the game that Lynch also kicked a few to win us the game??

The 99, round one North game was an absolute classic too. Best comeback game ever.
