What is everyone's best place they have stayed while on holidays??

A small little traditional house in Normandy in France. So peaceful and quiet, yet close to a lot of things. Really relaxing and beautiful.

Most of the places we stayed at in Canada, particularly Vancouver and my aunt and uncle's small cabin on one of the many lakes in Nova Scotia. You literally step off the porch and into the water.

I mentioned it once but I think I got away with it.:D

Basil,

Being a comedian I travel around doing "spots" and sometimes have to stay overnight somewhere. There was this one time when I was going to appear on television, but it was down in L.A. so I asked my friend George to come. (fully paid for of course!! ;)) Anyway, this worked out really well for us, as it enabled us to search for our other friend Kramer..... don't ask, it was a long story..... lets just say I wont be taking away the keys again!! :D:D:D

Anyway, George and I were talking about how we like our sheets made on our beds when we stay in hotels. We were discussing the "tuck" and the "no tuck"...... George doesn't like the "tuck" as most times they tuck the sheets in too tight and you can't move when you hop into bed.... last time he pulled his groin trying to kick the sheets out!! OUCH!! :D:D

It was very funny trying to tell Lupei the maid what we wanted, either "tuck" or "no tuck".... she had no idea!! :D:D

Anyway, I was wondering what you guys do over there in England?? Do you go the "tuck" or the "no tuck"?? ;)

Cheers!!

Good evening. I would like to introduce myself, my name is Basil Fawlty and I'm the owner of "Fawlty Towers"... a hotel in Torquay here in England. The reason for my post is that.... oh wait a minute...

"oh come on Sybil, wont you leave me in peace?? I'll do the menus, don't worry"

Sorry about that. I should tell you, Sybil is my wife... and I never get a moments peace around here with her around!! Anyway, back to the reason for my post...

I am trying to improve the quality of guests that stay here in my hotel, so I was wondering what everyone's best place was where they stayed on their holidays and why?? This way, I can use some of the ideas to improve my hotel... oh wait a minute again...

"Oh what is it Manuel?? Look, try to speak English...."

Hmmmmm, this could take all day, you have to excuse Manuel, he's our waiter from Barcelona... we're training him.

Anyway, must be off now.

I thought I'd quickly sneak on while my wife Sybil is on the phone to her friend. Don't worry, it's one of "those" calls... something about he's left her again, so I have a few minutes!! :D:D:D

Anyway, it's great that you want to come over to Fawlty Towers to visit. Are you a doctor or a wealthy person by any chance? ;)

Oh, hang on a minute...

"Oh what is it Manuel, can't you leave me in peace??" Look, just go and ask Poly ok!! Where is Poly?? She went to help cook in the kitchen.... right, ok I just can't find good help these days!!"

Sorry about that, Manuel is our new waiter from Barcelona... we're training him although sometimes I think it would be easier to train a monkey!!

Anyway, must be off now.

Nick,

Don't get me started on Mrs Richards!! I swear I was going to give her the shirt off my back after the mix up with the money. I was nearly in front as well, if only Manuel hadn't made me drop her stupid vase!!

By the way, my wife Sybil doesn't know I was the one who bet on that horse Dragon Fly..... she thinks it was Poly, so don't mention it to her or she'll kill me for having a bet ok!! ;):D;)

Anyway, must be off now.
