Firstly, i know it can be hard to predict exactly how long a player will be out for and i also understand that players sometimes have setbacks in recovery but i am very confused and somewhat angered with the information the club is providing re Reimers.

I log onto the Essendon website every Monday to look at the updated injury list and every week it seems to be the same thing with Reimers. He is supposedly 3 weeks away and progressing well from quad tightness. He has been 3 weeks away for atleast the last 3-4 weeks so it is quite obvious that he is not progressing well at all OR maybe he is progressing well but was actually 6-7 weeks away initially and not 3 as stated.

I can accept if he has had a setback and may not be back any time soon but as a paying member i would expect that the club would be more clear on our players. If he is still 6 weeks away let us know. If he was 6 weeks away, 4 weeks ago let us know, instead of saying that he is 3 weeks away every single week.

Is there anyome who can give us some reliable information regarding his injury? I am sure i can speak on behalf of most Bomber fans by saying that most of us wee really looking forward to seeing him play this season and would love to atleast have some idea when we could expect to see him.

On a lighter note its great to see that Prismall and Hurley will resume playing football this week.

Really looking forward to seeing Hurley, Pears and Daniher in the same team.

reimers was close to resuming and had a setback. he has tendinitis in his thigh muscles and this type of ailment can flare up which it did.

the efc website is as vague as every other club website for injury information.

It is actually a tendon problem with his quad.
It is pretty much the same as having a hamstring tendon injury. The problem is with the tendon that holds the muscle to the bone.
Every time they have tried to step up his training it has given him problems.

So is it fair to say that Reimers' injury should be classed as indefinite? Surely if it is giving him so much trouble we shouldnt be told that he is progressing well and will resume in 3 weeks?
