Games = Probable win

Games = 50/50

Games = Unlikely win

So that's the road that lies ahead for us. Interesting draw and pretty evident we need to sneak a fair few 50/50's in the second half of this season if we still want top 4 aspirations. I get a sneaking feeling that the Fremantle, Melbourne and Essendon games in particular will come back to bite us.

I'm expecting 8 wins from that lot TBH which would leave us at 14-8.

Where do you see the Crowboys finishing up? Top 4? Top 8? Missing finals even?

Certainly missing the finals is a possibility. We're 6-5 and the way the ladder is shaping up you might need 12 wins to get in. Two very tough games either side of the break but I'm quietly confident ahead of this week's game. Get back up in the sunshine again - brought the best out of us in the Brisbane game. Would think that top four is out of reach given our injuries.

I would be satisfied with a 12 wins and 10 losses record at the end of the season where we are sitting now.

Wins

Hawks @ AAMI
St Kilda @ Telstra Dome
Fremantle @ AAMI
Port Adelaide @ AAMI
Western Bulldogs @ AAMI
Brisbane Lions @ AAMI

Losses

Kangaroos @ Carrara (Gold Coast)
West Coast @ AAMI
Essendon @ Telstra Dome (but with players still to return this could go either way)
Geelong @ Skilled Stadium
Collingwood @ Telstra Dome (see Essendon game).

So best case scenario I can see us going 14 wins and 8 losses

I actually think we're building our season this year with the goal of peaking for finals ala Sydney and wouldn't be shocked to see us win the majority of our remaining games. I think we'll know more after the Kangas, WC, Hawks treble.

Win 2 of 3 or even all 3 and you're a Top 4 chance. Lose 2 or 3 and it's planning for 08.

It is so hard to predict so far in the future. A month ago Port was on top of the ladder playing great footy and the Bombers where shithouse, dropped to 10th or so and were playing average footy. They are a totally different side now with Bombers looking good in 5th spot and Port sinking to 10th. Form/confidence/injuries play a massive role in an even competition.

Based on current form/injuries I'd say you are 50/50 against North. I don't think we have been in great form either but I think it will be a relatively close game and is probably going to come down to the team that finishes better.

Eagles are likely to {edit} St Kilda round 12 and will be pretty high on confidence for your round 13 clash. I think with their midfield and goodwin missing they would more than likely win.

I think you will beat the Hawks at AAMI, simply because of the way the Hawks play. I think the Crows will shutdown their tall forwards and the Crows will win a low scoring match. I think when Franklin is well held they are not too hard to beat and I think Crows still have one of the best defenses suited to traditional forward setups like the Hawks have at present.

If the Saints keep playing like they have at present you will win that easily, but that is going to be a fair bit away, they play Eagles (probably lose), Richmond (probably win) and Collingwood (50/50). If they have wins against the Tigers and Pies and get a bit of confidence then they will be stiff opposition I think. If they drop 3 or even 4 of those then their spirit would be completely broken and I would expect Crows to easily account for them at TD where you guys play well there.

After that it gets really hard to try and predict form, etc.

This is the only game we should be concerning ourselves with. Make no mistake it is a huge game, as there is a big difference going 7-5 into the break (keep in touch with the top-4) v 6-6 & being mid-pack, fighting for a finals spot.

Hard to predict where we will end up - just hope we can start regaining more players than losing to injuries.

I'm keen to see the Hawks v Adelaide too. We'll see if the Hawks can learn from the tough Swans contest.

Adelaide have owned Hawthorn for the past few years and I hope that we can change that!

I'm looking forward to that game.

It'll be interesting to see whether Clarkson modifies the game plan to cope with what will be very similar tactics.

By the way, IMO the future is huge for the Hawks. Top 8 this year, top 4 next year and a flag the year after.

The Hawks have planned well for the long term by trading name players for top draft picks and have chosen wisely, and are building up a formidable side from the bottom up.

Having said that, if we haven't got too many players out we should take this year's game out by applying Sydney like tactics - just.

Winning today would of been a huge help. The next three are important, because not only do we need the points, we need to stop the teams just above us getting them. I guess with the ladder being so close that applies to most games for a while.

Form can change, this time last year we were where Geelong are, unbeatable. So who knows where teams will be at the end of the year.

We better win at Carrara though, because I'll be there and losing could ruin my holiday lol.
