Do you even watch Morrell play? Don't be too dramatic there mate. I said delist Morrell not everyone as you seem to think I have. Either you can't read very well which seems to be a real possibility or you are watching Morrell in the VFL rather than the AFL. He's rubbish in the AFL and offers us nothing, depth included!

Carlton seem to like to give away numbers belonging to players that leave fairly quickly. Maybe they will send Lappin a message that we are moving on from old to young by handing over #12 to Murphy. When Allan wanted out and was traded, Nick Stevens moved right on in to #24. Scotland in to Beaumonts #29 right away.

It certainly is time to hand over #5 though.

The difference is that Allan and beaumont never played in premeirship sides, thats why there numbers where picked up straight away, where as for number 5, well macca played in the 95 team, there for it was retired.Maybe murphy will get 3 now that diggers is gone.

#5 isn't retired for good. I think it isnt worn for either one or two seasons after a premiership player has retired, so it should be available this year.

First pick will get the lowest available number, so murphy will get number 3, our second pick no4 will get the next lowest available number, which is number 5, and so on and so on.
