this morning this stupid **** rammed me in the carpark at the station she hit me that hard that the car actually moved while i was parked. dumb fleabag just ran off so i wrote down her number plate caught up with her at the station and got her number out of her

should i

a) make her pay for a new bumber bar despite half the dints already being in there :D

b) just back right into her tonite if shes still parked behind me :D :D

or
c) just forget about it as i prob scared her enough this morning

Talk to your insurance provider about it, Spidey. I'm sure that as long as you have the other lady's info, they can pursue it. And maybe getting a new bumper may not be out of the question, you'll have to ask them.

More importantly, though... are you OK?

What Y_I said.

If that doesn't help, write down all the details and report that lady to the police.

Not sure if calling the police is necessary. As long as Party A (Spidey) and Party B (the other lady involved) have exchanged information, there's potential that they can come to some sort of an agreement over a settlement. It's nothing like a hit-and-run, from the sound of things, anyway...

the dumb hoe said as long as u dont sting me for a new bumper bar coz i didnt do that (there were dints already there)

yep, agree with you_idiot.... option A...

and if you give your insurance company all the details of the other lady, they will pursue it for you.... doesn't matter what happened before to your bumper, only what happened this morning...

I had an accident late last year, and the other driver was taking forever to do anything about it, so in the end I called my insurance company and gave them all the detals... they organised to have it fixed, paid for it, and then pursued the other driver & their insurance company to settle the matter...

that's pretty ordinary though, just running off after it happened... hate people who do that... I've had it happen to me twice! and both times the damage was over $700 worth ($700 once, $1200 the second time - and I had to pay both times...)

I have not been lucky with accidents (6 times, 3 my fault, including one write-off, 3 not at fault).... get it checked out just to be safe, coz you don't know the full extent of the damage... may just look like bumper damage, but who knows.... a couple of years ago, I ran into someone, hit their tow bar, and thought I'd only done damage to my bumper... a year later, when getting my car serviced, found out I had badly damaged my radiator and condenser - quoted $2500 to fix it, as my car would overheat & air con kept shorting out...

well i admit i did it to someone a few months ago because they keep blocking off my driveway and i backed into them and didnt own up ....they still park there of course this is slightly different however as i had just turned the car off and she was trying to park behind me.

anyway i dont wanna wreck my insurance history as i have had no accidents or reason to use them before does it affect me if i ask them even though it was her fault?

No.

make a report to the local constabulary then get 3 written quotes for the repair and offer her the choice of repairers. (it must be allocated a police reference number for insurance purposes).

you need to do a self reporting accident claim to file through insurance (and as its her fault it doesnt affect your premiums or history).

if she wants to be-yotch, remind her that a "hit and run" as she tried to do is quite illegal and you are quite happy to let your insurance company sort her out for you!

hate it when someone bangs up your car either with a trolley, door or even thier car and does the runner. its happened to every brand new car i've ever owned within a few eeks of buying it!

hmm quite helpful ta
problem is i dont think she actually did any damage its a fairly old car so i dont really know what was there already and what wasnt shes saying she didnt do anything to it of course

Definately option A spidey

Doesn't mean a thing if you had a few dints in the bumper to start off with. My brother had someone hit him from behind and he'd already had a decent bump in it from something he'd done earlier. He had a piece of **** subaru worth a grand tops, and he got $1400 to repair the bumper. He just used to $1400 on top of the $5k he had saved and bought something better. If you can get a payout of a few hundred or more definately go for it, and don't feel guilty about it, it's your right to that cash. If that bitch tried to run from you on top of hitting your beast you should milk it for all it's worth. Take photo's of the damage too, could come in handy.

My bumper has a few dints in it from unspecified foibles with my garage. Do you suggest I try to get someone to ram me so I can milk money off them for damage they didn't do?

If she didn't do any damage why are you worrying about it?
If you are trying to get money from her to fix what you did previously, then it's wrong.

But according to you she left the scene without checking for damage/injury. Shes got nothing to stand on, teach her a lesson, take her to the cleaners.

Hit and run is wrong, who is she to judge what damage she did to a car shes never seen before

Insurance fraud is wrong too!

Agreed. But earlier this year I had my car fixed after a bingle and the repairers actually said they would have the other dints fixed seeing as it was part of the part ie. bumper bar that had to be replaced.

I didn't actually ask for this but I was glad to have this done anyhow. It always looks sort of bad to drive a car with dints or paint scrapes on it because it makes me feel as though I cause all these collisions when it's not me. So I agreed and I resume being a 'good looking' driver. :D

or D) Start using another train station - she only bumped into you as a ploy to get your phone number. Sigh - another person trying to pants me.

Crikey! It's only someone on the internet... why does it bother you so much?

Take it or leave it. It only means something if YOU think it does..

Sorry, just realized how pathetic I sound... excuse me I'll just go and talk to someone real. :D

not really that hard to do.

however i think u should sting her for it cos the bitch ****ed off w/o checking or anything. she should have at least said sorry and if there is no damage fair enough, but if there is, welll do u think she would hesitate to ping you for it if the roles were reversed?

read my mind exactly

the reason Bee was because of her attitude...to have the nerve to ASK if she hit me then say just don't sting me for a new bumper bar

ok this is getting freakky coz i was saying that exact thing to my mum last night (who put most of the dints in the bumper) that it makes me look like a bad driver
