I've had enough of all of these kents already.

Nothing would satisfy me more right now than drafting H.Reid and watch him kick a bag against the tin-rattlers.

And anyone else wanting to entertain splitting the pick in this massively compromised draft needs to give themselves an uppercut as well.

The one and only, think he's given up Bigfooty for Twitter for now.

Popped up in my feed he had one of his meltdowns at SirSwampThing for having the AUDACITY to provide stats/trivia from AFLW as well.
lmao of course he did. And good on him for seeking out a wider audience, but Reddit is where he's needed. All those goofy updoot mfers on r/AFL.

Like an avenging angel of darkness descending on threads with titles like: 'Can't believe it's not Butters' and 'Who is the sexiest man alive and why is it Nick Daicos? : P'

It would be so beautiful.

Yep.
What's the AA midfield look like draft pick wise?

Gulden - pick 32 (would’ve likely gone sooner if he wasn’t tied to Sydney)

Bontempelli - pick 4

J.Daicos - pick 57

Rozee - pick 5

Butters - pick 12

N.Daicos - pick 4 (would’ve went pick 1 if he wasn’t tied to Collingwood)

Petracca - pick 2

Serong - pick 8

I’m aware not all these guys were named in the AA midfield exactly, but they are still midfielders in general. Whilst it’s possible to find a great midfielder late in the drafts, it’s definitely a lot harder, especially for us who has had shocking luck with picking midfielders in later rounds in recent times.

100% pick Mids early in the draft. post pick 15ish you're running on luck.
Backs and Key Backs can be found pretty much throughout the draft and especially at the back end.
McGovern was a Rookie as well and Barrass was pick 43

So if the club blows pick 1 to get a defender just because he's local (and talented but not a 1v1 defender) they are dumb.

This is completely nuts.

Imagine if Harley Reid was WA and Curtin was Vic metro. It wouldn't be up for discussion

Imagine if Harley Reid was WA and Curtin was WA. It wouldn't be up for discussion except try get both. But then fall back to Reid

But yet here we are and for what. Reid not being WA is a non starter not to be considered issue

I think anyone that is getting anxious over trading pick one just needs to chill and wait till trade week and see how the draft board actually starts to evolve.
Currently there are to many what if’s.

We will find out more about Nth during grand final week but there is no point riding the roller coaster of emotions over every tweet or media comment.

We have pick one and Rohan what could go wrong.

That last sentence being why we shouldn’t trade.

Best mid in the draft thanks.

Plenty think North Will spend pick 2 on him.

And he's playing midfield with his coach saying he's good enough to make it as a mid. Same size as P Cripps.

So maybe clubs don't just see a tall defender.
So you're telling me he's a half back with midfield potential?

We're in trouble here...

Harley's knee must be fine as he's been named in the Centre for Bendigo's Wildcard game against Geelong (incidentally they played Geelong last week without Harley and lost). This may well be the last game Harley plays before the draft. I'll be heading over to Ballarat to photograph all four games played at Mars Stadium over the weekend.

Look out for a grumpy old bastard in the background if your photos.

You said the same thing about O Allen in 2018 or 2019 Obeanie1 (can”y remember when exactly but think it was 2019).

On exposed form, I rate McKercher as the best mid in the draft where as I rate Harley as the best footballer. There in lies our dilemma
Agree however as you would know Harleys work around stoppages and in particular in the centre square is very good and it’s our greatest weakness currently.

McKercher is a fav of mine so if we can get both then that would be one hell of a draft night.

Good article

Especially this

“And no, don’t worry, this isn’t one of those trade hypothetical pieces where the Eagles are on the losing end of almost every deal floated so far.”

Sick of reading dickheads over east claiming we need to trade Reid to get extra picks in because we lack depth in our list only to put up a trade that results in comparatively rubbish picks and/or barely any extra picks

Agree

So refreshing to read someone that actually understands our list and needs.

I'm 100% expecting to not get Reid just so I'm not burnt.

Feels like we're gonna cave.

Ah well hope whoever we take with later picks ends up the AFLs new GOAT just some random that lifts their game to ridiculous heights
