Are you going to ask the same questions of certain players from your team aftter you get flogged by Port and they fail? :rolleyes:
 
Tambo will be okay. He had 12 touches and proabably played 60% of a short game coming of an injury. It would probably translate to a 16-20 possesion proper AFL match

He has alot of qualities he just needs to put them all together

Sadly, it's not based on one pre-season game. I saw nothing last night to suggest that Tambling will take the next step this year, albeit the first hit-out for the season.

I did see one thing. He put his body on the line in a contest which in previous years would have had him backing out of. He has bulked up considerably. Maybe those lousy jumpers made him look bigger.
 
you know the one thing that i really love about tambling and all richmond players....... even though we were playing stkilda & they had that monster of a man playing in their foward line none of the tiger players were scared of him................................................ oh i forgot to mention who he is

Walker has progressed. There are a lot of Blues players who are on their last legs believe me. I just didn't think Tambling done enough to suggest he has progressed. Yes last night is just a pre-season game, but, if he had progressed he should have done more.

He had a pretty bad ankle injury a couple of weeks ago. Last night was his first proper run since. Didn't have the confidence in his body last night.

No this is not a troll. I didn't see him do enough last night. If he had progressed like everyone had been stating he should have played a great game. Believe me, as i have said before, there will be heads rolling at Carlton if certain players don't pull their fingers out. Just asking how long do clubs put up with players like that. There are players who play country footy and have been over looked in the draft, or cut from lists, and gone on to be stars for their leagues. They just weren't given the time to prove themselves for whatever reasons. I know he has potential, but so have all the other draftees and players.

OK, but it seems like every year now (?3 years) we say "give him a full pre-season and he'll be a gun", either he's very unlucky with injuries or not a gun. I'd love him to be a champion cause it makes Richmond stronger, but for me, I can't see it happening.
 
He actually has had a reasonable career to date.
Not every player can come straight in and dominate like judd.
Having said that I would hope that he takes another step this year and influences more games than the last couple of years.

It was just one practice match and people are declaring he ( and the whole team) has made no progress this year. Give me a break!

For the Tigers to be comparing Tambling to Walker is like comparing chalk and cheese. Walker has developed into a very good small back man for us. Has had many games where he has racked up quite a few bundles of possessions. His defensive game has improved incredibly since coming to the club.

In short, Walker is no chance in hell of being cut at the end of the year.

there has been alot of players not fully develop till they are 22-23 !! tambling is still only 21 and its only his 4th season !!! he has shown more than enough to show us tigers fans that he will become a awesome player !!!! i'm the first to admit i'd love to see more of it and i get upset when i dont see it ... but i know one day it will happen !! he will be a gun ..

so how bout you carlton and essendon scum bags just piss off back to your own board and worry about your own f*cking teams !!!!

what a ridiculas statement a number 2 pick turns into a small back
he is suppose to be an elite mid isnt he & been in the system 12 months longer than tambling its know 5 years and has done nothing at all
tambling atleast shows glimpses of electrifying brilliance walker has shown nothing for pick2 ........... if you want to see a small back
have a look at jake king cost us nothing. by admitting he is a handy small back you are admitting pick #2 WAS WASTED ON WALKER
