Every match thread should be created at the start of the season.

No more waiting around for weeks to hang shit on your favourite club to hang shit on, just because it’s only round 1 and you don’t play until round 8.

That said, the proper day to post match threads is whenever the match thread posting VOLUNTEER wants to post them.

This is the correct answer. If the volunteer is prepared to give up his/her time to create the threads, then that person can pick and choose when to post them. End thread.
