My guess is if they lose to Richmond next week he will be gone after a loss to West Coast in round 9. If they beat Richmond it probably gives him a couple of more weeks but having Hawthorn and Geelong he will probably be gone after a loss to Geelong in round 11.

Eade is meant to be judged not just by finishing position in the last few years and this year, but by future prospects in kids that have played etc. At lest, that is my understading of the subject. So, He won't be sacked before the season end at the bare minimuim

Will not coach next year unless we make a grand final.

It would be even worse to sack him now, would just make our situation worse.

Unless Mickey Malthouse is signed by Smorgo,
Eade will continue.
There are no immediate alternatives that I would have the "balls" to employ iin the No 1 job including West and Cameron.

Cheers

Eade should have gone at the end of last year. Or when he was too much of a bad coach and got the boot from Sydney to begin with.

Stick with your Rosco Pal !!!!
Answer this question - who would you replace Eade with
Name a replacement !!!

The Bulldogs aren't hardline enough to sack a coach midseason unless the coach says he is leaving like Wallace did.
If he goes it won't be before the end of the season.

Bump I still stand by my claim of round 11.

knee jerk reaction
How so? Thread was made a couple of weeks ago and Smorgon said the Dogs had to at least make the grand final for Eade to be safe. They wont even make the 8 so how can he still be there?

End of the year IMO. Better decision financially. He's playing the kids already so it shouldn't harm us in the short term/long term to keep him on til then.

Only because he's FINALLY worked out the olds ain't that great.

The Dogs have always seemed to be a year off - either they keep the likes off Johnson and West a season too long - or they start playing the kids when the likes of Lake and Hall are on the way out.

Poor coaching by Eade.
