Why? There is potential for it to take over 18 months to develop a vaccine then they have to distribute it. While this process is happening we are in varying stages of a lock down. What makes you think the AFL are exempt from physical distancing throughout that time frame?

Incomparable. They used a much more aggressive lockdown approach and that’s a path Australia won’t take due to a variety of reasons. They’ve also merely loosened restrictions and are still nowhere near restoring full normality to their lives which is basically what is required for the AFL season to commence again.

Read some forecasting. We’re in this for the long haul. We’ve gone the slow burning “sustainable” approach.

August a possibility but probably September - will want some footy this year in some form or other to try and get cash flowing, earn some TV rights with a hybrid comp of some sort. This will be interesting to see which Clubs survive, the aim will be all, but don't hold your breath. This is an industry, the AFL, it won't go away, but will be a decade before it is back something like we've known it.
