We acted relatively quickly and saved lives, but the exponential nature of this thing means it remains a constant threat. The USA went from 15 cases to 83,000 deaths in two months. We're not special. We're not magic.

We could have quashed it if the government had acted sooner, shut down the borders quicker, not allowed Morrison's happy clapper buddies off the Ruby Princess, and we could still eliminate it now if we're all prepared to sacrifice for a little longer. But some will always want to whinge about freedom and how they should be able to tongue kiss a bat if they want. And it seems mostly to be Boomers, the most privileged, kissed-on-the-dick generation in human history.

Well given a nursing home in qld has just been shut down and isolated have we really beaten it, and a passenger on a qantas flight who was negative has just tested positive six weeks after arriving back from overseas is the incubation Period really two weeks?
