I voted Carlton because they are the most vile and corrupted joke of a football club in existence. I don't hate the Lions as much as I do a lot of other clubs - I actually respect confident clubs and confident players when they're good enough to back it up. There is a touch of arrogance about Brisbane which is acceptable considering the success they've had (even if it broke my heart that a lot of it was at our expense). This is very different to the misplaced arrogance that Essendon supporters tend to have when they say (and I've heard many people say every one of these); Winderlich is better than Didak, Stanton is better than Swan, Monfries has more talent than Medhurst, (few years back) Laycock and Johns are the best kids in the AFL, Collingwood don't have one player as good as Mark McVeigh, Ryder is elite, Ryder deserved AA last year....there's millions of them. FWIW though I hate Essendon more than anyone because as much as I hate them, hate their players, can't stand their supporters, etc, there is still that general respect that they are a strong club and a worthy rival.

Even though I voted for Carlton, I actually don't hate them as much as I once did. The rivalry has dulled a bit in my eyes.

They cheated for years, tanked for years, talked themselves up for years and now they've fallen flat on their faces. They will stay there for years. I once hated Carlton but there was an underlying respect that came from them being a strong club rich in history. Now they are an embarrassment, they have rendered their history irrelevant by the disgraceful decisions they have made over the last decade or so and they are a genuine rabble.

I hope they stay like that for decades more.........

If you want a list of my top 5 hated sides in order, here it is;

1. Carlton (will never change)
2. Essendon (tight arse high rolling pricks)
3. Port Power (wannabes)
4. Brisbane (02 and 03, all there is)
5. Hawthorn (Jason Dunstall is a good enough reason)

Honourable mention to StKilda, who up to the past few years haven't even been on the "radar", but I hear a few beeps now.

Carlton will always be number 1, but the rest can change.

Sides like Western Bulldogs, Richmond, Melbourne etc that thing we are their "enemy" make me laugh, as most of us and the club apart from the odd little "spat" couldn't care less about them.

Hate Brisbane because of obnoxious Brisbane supporting mates (oh and '02,'03), but Carlton are just absolute filth. From year zero they have been filth, and they will continue to be deluded morons with superiority complexes. Maybe it's because I live in SA, and year after year hear local media and supporters overrate their Premiership chances (as well as always underrate us), but my most hated club is definitely Adelaide. Any Collingwood victory against the Crows seems to break the entire town's heart, and it's simply glorious

To be honest, I couldn't care less about Carlton, probably because they've been largely irrelevant cellar-dwellers for the past decade.

I somewhat dislike Brisbane, but now that the majority of their triple Premiership heroes are gone from the club (save Jonathan Brown and Michael Voss), I don't dislike them as much as I once did.

The only thing I really hate about Brisbane is the fact that they beat us in two grand finals, Fev playing for them is a good thing because it effectively ended any chance of Carlton being a half decent side this year

They are a joke and look to remain so, I just dont see their current list and set up leading to success which is a mouth watering sensation. Long may they fail and be down trodden.

I have a real dislike for St. Kilda these day, although I'm not sure why. I usually dislike successful clubs, not cellar dwellers whom have stunk it up for 110 years and have nothing too celebrate in their useless history other than 1 premiership where their captain actually wore a Collingwood jumper during the presentation.

Now Carlton, that's a given. But I hate them because of rivalry, and the success they've had. St. Kilda just stink and always will.

Not too many sides could win what 22 games in a season and still lose the one that counts. What a ****ing shiteful football club.

I detest Brisbane, such a pack of thugs and d*ck-pullers back @ 2001-4. But then it was just one of those tough Leigh Matthews outfits. Still think they would smash Geelong at their peak. Voss is the wankstain par excellence. Didn't think much of Lynch, Akermanis. Mal Michael or the Scott brothers. Warmed a bit to B Scott later. Currently Brennan is one of the biggest irritants in the game with his one-handed palaver.

Carlton still are plop and they've been sucking plankton off the ocean floor for years. Imagine how unbearable they were when they actually won games.
