Where should Pav play in 2005

Been lots of debate about where he should play, personally I would like him up at CHF.

Would you play Murphy at FF with Medders and Wiz at his side, or would you play Murphy + tall + crumber?. I wouldn't mind two talls on the FF line, maybe a resting 211 or JLo?.

Full Forward...would easily kick 60-70 a year. Polak at Centre Half Forward just to deliver it into the forward line and improve his kicking. McPharlin is a great Centre Half Back.

McPharlin to the forward line for sure in my opinion.
Polak can hold down centre half fowrad, and Thornton has proved me wrong and turned out to be a hand defender. Our backline didnt crumble without McPharlin,this suggests he can be used up forward.

Masai I think Connolly said recently that instead of Sandilands spending time on the bench waiting to be rotated with Longmuir, he would like him to be a marking option up forward and I think he would be an excellent foil for Murphy

We've solved our issues with midfield toughness and depth, so there should be no need to continue with the experiment of Pavlich in the middle.

that certainly does sound good. im of the opinion that a successful team needs 3 good or better tall forwards. if these three could be left in the forward line all year and develop into a good unit with medders and farmer, i could see them being a very productive forward line.

the backline is stable and performs well, with polak and hadrill they have a couple of quality talls. parker for experience and hayden for run.

the midfield is shaping up well next year. although with hase, belly, j carr and shammer they look to have the core of a top class unit. they have depth too in the likes of m carr, hedland and black. even with carr, we are missing one more good in and under midfielder i think, a hole which hopefully dunn may fill next year.

the forward line looks alot better with mcpharlin, pav and murphy as talls, and medders and farmer as the crumbers.

and the ruck division looks good with jlo and sandilands, although there is a depth issue there with simmonds now gone

we have the cattle, we just lack the teamwork and the heart.

2 talls is my prefered option. I do like the idea of McP at CHF and pav on 1 flank Medhurst on the other.

Thats exactly what I was thinking.
At first I thought it might weaken our backline removing McPharlin from their but Polak is more than capable of holding down centre half back with Haddrill at full back and Thornton the third man up isnt a bad backline.
We also forget that Woods is still in the mix and in my opinion could become a star just needs to pack on more muscle.

If worst comes to worst we can always move McPharlin back to Centre half back and play Pav at centre half foward which he is more than capable of playing.

Why not throw Pavlich, Polak, McPharlin & Murphy up forward? Commit them all to attack!

We have an influx of young defenders coming through all raring to go. Johnson, Mundy, Gilmore etc. who could all fill the gaps left quite well! Put some faith in the young guys and we could have a crack at a premiership!

I know I will get some pretty tasteless feedback from this post, but if our coach can be controversial, why can't I?
