Its fairly obvious that Jarred Moore is on the outer with Longmire. He has repeatedly starred in the two's but doesn't even get a gig as emergency in the one's.
What's his future??????Does he have one in the AFL???????

My best bet is that Moore signed with GWS a few months ago and since he did that Longmire has refused to play him. If that isn't true then it is another sign that Longmire really does have players that he hates and tries to make sure he doesn't give them opportunities no matter how much they deserve them.

Yeah cos no other coach has favourites.

One of my queries about Longmire is his habit of talking up players in the media, about how he wants them in certain positions or to do certain things, then continues to overlook them or not play them where he says he will.

or quick enough.

Speed is over-rated. Moore's a clever user of the ball and I'd rather see Moore busting heads, slamming tackles, crumbing balls and kicking goals than Jetta running in full flight.

Shame we can't have him in for a wet game this weekend

Haven't seen the game from the MCG yet Bungee.

Moores ball use is not exceptional by any measure and if it were not for Jetta's string of misses we'd remember Moore himself has a poor conversion record.

Moore has been given a string of opportunities over a long period of time and has tried, given his all but has come up short on the genetics attributes to be an AFL player.

Personally I think both Moore and Bevan have been around to long for to little, I would sooner persist with Meredith, Parker, Rohan, ect
Both Bevan and Moore are easily exploited by the big teams, neither have great disposal, and if we have resorted to having great defenders in our forward line we are in strife, its one thing to lock it in however you still need to impact the scoreboard.

I don't class Bevan as a defender and few here would like to see him in the back line. His best work has always been forward as a defensive forward, in that he knows how to apply pressure against a rebound. His kicking from set shots is very good and he can take a contested mark.

As for Moore, he's not a defender but he knows how to tackle (hard). There's nothing wrong with his kicking for goal and he's a smart player too.

My main 'in' for these two is they are both hard at it tough nuts. Moore may not catch as many players but he'll stop dead the ones he does catch.

Lately our forwards have been flat-footed, standing still and clumped together like weeds. It's one thing to play possession football but so many times we see a player hold up play while he waits for a lead which doesn't eventuate. Eventually it's kicked to a one on one (or two on one). Being a fast forward is not much use if you don't move. As the ball inevitably spiils to ground there is the issue of crumbers. Bird and Bolton can crumb. Goodes and Kennedy can. McVeigh and even Mummy can but we need crumbing forwards.

I like Rohan a lot (almost the complete package) and Parker's got huge balls but Meredith strikes me as overly neat and somewhat insipid.

The other player I'd like to see more of is Everitt. He's shown a bit of class, plenty of movement (especially linking up well) and he's our most accurate kick for goal (albeit from limited game time). He and Reid would work welll together.

Both are defensive in their game style was to the point I make, both are easily exploited and one dimentional, they were sensational for us 2005/06/07 ect however the game has moved and sadly I don't think we have moved with it, lets look at Blues for example Betts & Garland, both great at defensive lock down but also hurt you big on the scoreboard, Pies & Cats like wise, it no good just tackling blokes you now need to create, teams also have some of their quickest and most creative coming off 1/2back, as these 2 lads lack that speed they can be exploited, ie Semi against Bullies they placed Harbrow on Moore and he toweled us, the run and carry he gave Bullies killed us.
Don't get me wrong love these blokes for their service, however the game has moved and we need to as well, other wise we will bottom out and well below where we sit currently, if we can get some currency for these guys I say take it, are they really our future? If you can answer that honestly you will know what is best for our great club, and its time to move forward
As for Meredith give the kid a break, he's played just 12 games
