Will be interesting and injuries mid and late season to us and other sides will have a bigger impact than normal . Plenty of sides who finaubed out of the 8 last year are up and about ATM , whilst a few that were in the 8 look well
Off . Will the challengers do what Essendrugs have done for years and gone missing in June ?
I think if we can sneak a couple in the next month and get blokes back fit we might be a big chance .
The likelihood is we won't and will have a continually injury interrupted season and miss the 8. 10th

Agree with most of this. I only differ in the fact that with a touch of injury luck ( we are getting our injuries at the right time imo) and we have a close to full 22 to choose from round 9 onward we should finish anywhere from 5th to 7th. I prefer to have this shocking form line now, in the early rounds then mid or late in the year.

12th if we're lucky. What a piss poor team.
I love Grigg but when he's your 3rd best mid you're in trouble.

I still have belief in this season. My argument would be that we haven't seen the real Richmond yet. Round 1 we were a younger team playing an invigorated Carlton under a new coach and we really only switched on for the last quarter. We got the job done but it wasn't pretty. Round 2 was better but Collingwood were desperate to win to save face. We were the better team the whole night and we got robbed at the finishing line. (It's pretty funny that Collingwood's best player is the recruit they got from another club).

We have a hard draw but it's going to show us where we're really at. We are notoriously slow starters to the season and in past seasons we've finished quite strongly. I wouldn't right us off yet. Don't forget some of the best teams have lost games in the early round to teams playing out of their skins. Hawthorn lost to Essendon last season and they recovered and finished 3rd. Now we're not Hawthorn but I think a 5-8th spot finish is very much achievable.

We are also missing some of our key play-makers and on-ground leaders in Deledio and Maric. The Deledio facter cannot be stated enough. His performance and ability to lift the team with words or actions is second to none. We are a significantly better side with Deledio and we're yet to see anything from Yarran (imagine if he turns out to be a second Bachar).

Lastly I want to mention reputation. Yes we have a reputation for choking but I'd say we also have a reputation for strong performances in the H&A season. If the last three years are anything to go by then we'll pull our shit together and get better as the season goes on. Remember the season is a marathon and not a sprint and Collingwood was run ragged on Friday. Collingwood has a reputation of collapsing half way through the season and the win they just got does little to fix their glaring issues. They were sloppy and had to work so much harder just to scrape a win. Richmond will lift and I still have faith in a fourth straight finals appearance.

Why do our key players get injured and not the depth players like Hampson, Hunt, Morris et al?

Is this another repeat of 2014? The 10-3 express coming our way?
maybe if our depth players werent hampson hunt and morris we wouldnt be such a shit team

I was absolutely gutted yesterday, and I still am. But all joking aside with my lose the next five prediction, I still have tremendous faith in this side. The last two weeks have been so far off our best, largely due to injuries.
But let us not forget our best performances last year.

We returned to Adelaide and defeated Port after our disgraceful loss in 2014.
We beat Freo in Perth in the first quarter, ending the equal longest steak in that club's history.
We beat Sydney in Sydney, after being so far down at half time that we had already written the game off.
We beat Hawthorn after the entire footy world was beginning to grow bored with out unbeatable they were, keeping them goalless in two quarters.
We ground out the ugly wins through the winter, coming back to beat GWS who were 3 goals up at the start of the 4th.
We smashed Collingwood and Gold Coast, putting them to the sword without mercy.
We beat all our traditional rivals. Twice.
Our biggest loss of the season was only 36 points, when the team was hit with the flu.

So I'll be damned if I give up on these boys after a 1 point loss in Round 2.

The ladder is a complete cluster**** right now there's no way it is indicative of how the season is going to pan out. I still believe we'll come good and round 2 will be a distant memory. Last year we went 2-4 and everyone said our season was over...

Unbelievable to think the Bulldogs have only conceded 74 points so far this year. Holy ****

Well if that is the best depth we can bring in doesn't go well in the future does it cause the simple answer (fu Tiger71 :D)we are shit.

RFC 2016 is so far away from RFC 2015 injuries wise
Nab Comp wAs a big warning , but we continued to ignore these signs. Team is sloppy and unskilled with too many passengers
Plus other clubs have improved so I cannot see us being a contender for finals.
The thing is TI that we have struggled with 2 clubs that haven't improved how we going to go with the ones that actually have improved. I predict now that if Essendon beat us this year Dh will be gone and our warchest will be thinner cause of the stupidity of the board.

91 points last year was definitely putting them to the sword... On Friday, of course not, but we have been garbage the last two weeks. Not even 10% of our best performances last year. What I'm saying is that I don't believe our best has suddenly just disappeared, and we'll get back to it.
