Werribee Tigers: Nil

He doesn't seem to be making the strides tat we hoped he would, and now another report.
I know with the week off there are probably some more senior Blues pushing down and hence he may be in the reserves, but is he as close to senior selection now as he seemed to be last year?

It seems to me it is further away.

Does anyone have any info on Aisake?
Is he happy with how things are going?
I'm sure we will persist with him for the second year of his contract next year, but what does he need to do to stay on the list?

i really would like for him to be given an afl game because he might be able to step up if we give him the confidence and at least give him a chance at afl level before letting him go.

Gone. Doing nothing at the lower levels and the reports on his attitude are not doing him any favours, neither was the dummy spit to his coaches.

Fail...

Sad, because many believed he was more talented than Carlos.

I think last year we were in a position to just put him in and give him a go.

This year, with Hampson unable to cement a regular spot, and looking a better prospect, I think Aisake is going to have to force his way into the team, but my gut feel is (based on nt having seen him, hence the questions) that he won't be able to do this.

Not sure if there is still a longer term view with him given his "newness" to the game and whether he, and the club, are happy to continue his development, or whether we are reaching the point where the pin is pulled.

Anyone who thinks he'll magically step up and make the grade by being thrown into the seniors is dreaming.

Crawl. Walk. Run. Sprint.

I'm afraid Aisake is still crawling.

ye but it doesnt help when they play him in the vfl reserves most weeks.

last season when he was given good game time in the vfl seniors, he played well and he grew in confidence and was hardly ever demoted to the reserves- this year he has been in and out which obviously is denting his confidence.

Sadly, he'll be gone at years end. Didn't I hear that he was suffering pretty badly from homesickness?

Would have liked to have seen what he could do at AFL level, but positions on lists are tight enough, and he'll be gone at years end.

If he was so homesick and had made up his mind to leave already why not just pack his bags now and go home ?.....we would not sue him for breach of contract.......this may be just BF / TC talk.

From reports I have heard he has been unable to put into practice what has been asked of him by his coaches.

The big guy has worked really hard to get his body, fitness and skills to where they are now.

Lets hope he and the coaches are mature enough to put their differences aside and we see him make a another real good prolonged effort with a good attitude.

I keep hearing he can be brilliant and that he played on the wing ( he is 203 cm).
What sort of player is he what are his skills like etc. i wish he played 4 the ants 2day so i could have seen.

From what I have heard he has a serious attitude issue at the moment.

Seanty's the same, they've both a bit of a temper on them. Which is completely in contrast to their older brother who's gotten one yellow card was he was playing under 12, in his entire career.

Aisake has been a bit of a disappointment. Whether he'll be sent home or not is another matter.

There's a difference between temper and attitude. Aisake seems to score "bad" in both categories.

Now Santy might never take a backward step, but I've never seen him lose it (temper) or back chat authority (attitude). He has the exact temperament I'd like to see in every one of our guys.

Ya, Santy has a temper, but his attitude is second to none. I still remember Sean Og having to pull him away a few times in a match. But his attitude is second to none. He'll do it for ya. No question.

both the brothers wont make it, was worth the try but need to move on.

I think you will find the Carlos has already made it, he has sure as sh1t done more then you ever will.

I hate fourm big mouths who have never done anything other than sucked on mumma's t1t for to long.

Judd05 f#$koff you loser

Perhaps there is the possibility that Sydney might give him a lifeline if we were to let him go. Was quite a bit of speculation a while ago that Paul Roos thought very highly of him - i think this was in the pre-season leading into the 08 season.

I'd personally like to see him given another year, even if that means drafting him back as a rookie.

That's no longer an option.

Such a waste, he's been away from hurling too long to come back, especially seeing as he wasn't even on the county scene when he left. Pity, he could have been big if he was anything like his two brothers. It still pains me to think what would have happened if Santy stayed. But em, they gave it a try, it didn't work out for Aisake. So, no regrets.

Wouldn't mind seeing half you blokes thrown into the deep in another country, playing a game you had no idea about when you arrived and then expected to play at the most elite level that sport can offer.....

Yes was home sick at the start of the year, over that now, with some of his mates and misses moving here.... Is a loved iconic figure amongst all the boys, just has to find some consistancy in his game. He was dissapointed earlier in the year to be dropped to the two's, however come to terms with it now, and will half a better second half of the year...
