But do we need 1 Trick Pony?
He can make deadly field passes too, just I can't find highlights of them on youtube.

We need a left foot like this coming out of the backline.
Valid points.
But, at the same time, don't we have Scharenberg, Oxley, Langdon and now Maynard as similar players to play the exact same kind of role?
A touch of overkill to bring yet another tall-ish back flanker, al beit one with as lethal a boot as Suckling...

Aish would need to be traded. There is 0 chance that the Lions are going to trade him to us. I don't want him anyway, we have young kids developing we need another ready made midfielder.
If you are trading for Aish you have to give up something decent. We only have kids left so I don't see the use in sideways trading.Agreed! He will be a gun though. If he leaves Lions he is a lock at one of the two SA Clubs and Crows are the front runners easily.

He's not a free agent and I'm more likely to join our list than he is![]()
Wouldn't worry me. If we didn't come up with a suitable trade then I would have been happy to keep him. Pressure would have been on him to play well to keep his spot and match payments. I'm not sure if he would have been a RFA at the end of 2015 meaning the lions would still have needed to trade for him and we likely would of at least got a first rounder for him. In saying that, I'm happy with de goey and Levi and think Crisp is worth a look for our needs. Whether Crisp can continue to develop is another questionBut would you be happy to have someone on our list that did not want to be there or Not Play for us at All?
I reckon we offer 1.3mil to Danger thus forcing the CATS to go higher![]()
Danger is a free agent though
three way trade ? Aish goes to the crows, Patty goes to Geelong and the Lions get Mitch Clarke back.....chuckle..
Absolutely. As I mentioned though if he leaves the Lions he will be heading back to SA.

I was going to tag you guys but this was quicker so maybe we should change the thread to free agent/trade targets and rumours.Probably not.
But we still had the choice.

Yeh Sheil could be the odd one out at gws with all the stock they have but imagine if we had both Motlop with your man Sheil, yeh im dreaming but who caresI would love him, his a rich mans Varcoe.
The guy I want most though is Dylan Sheil from GWS.
James Aish too.
Plus backups freeman de goey Thomas greenwood and superstar billy Elliott as well we would have the best midfield ever I reckonId be looking at trading our first rounder and steak knives at getting in Treloar or Aish. I would then target Dangerfield, Sloane and Steven through free agency. Best case scenario we pick up Dangerfield and Treloar which would give us an engine room looking like:
C: Dangerfield Pendlebury Sidebottom
R: Grundy Treloar Adams
He'll be off to Adelaide at seasons end.James Aish too.
