Which player(s) do we chase for 2008?

Not a single superstar in there. Smith is good but F/S is the reason we got him. The rest, except Pratt, have been pretty poor. Compare that to other's drafting and you'll find at least 1 superstar pick, I mean Wells is not a #2.

You dont like Wells do you?? And suggesting McIntosh should be traded was one of the most stupid things i have ever seen.. Untill i read that you think Hale and PETRIE could hold down the ruck which i think is what you were suggesting

I loved him a few years back but he's been real dissapointing. You don't think they could? McIntosh has had one decent year in what, 4 years? We have Moran too, surely them 3 should be enough.

Apparently Judd wants out of WCE because of the Ben Cousins situation, and North is his preferred choice, the problem is who do we trade for him?, Swallow and Jones, or Swallow and a 3rd round pick? Or Leigh Brown and Ed Sansbury?

Yep that's it. Judd wants to come back to Melbourne and his preferred choice is the poorest club in town and one that looking to move interstate  Yeah that sounds right.

I'm sure he tossed up between North and Richmond.

No doubt he went through a lengthy process and determined that none of Collingwood, Carlton, Geelong or Essendon met his criteria for financial stability and future success. No he said "it has to be the Kangas"

Not sure if you are extracting the urine or not but...

I wouldn't do Judd for H straight swap

Sure Judd is a better footballer at this stage but premierships are built on star ruckmen and Hamish is ours for the next decade.

You wouldn't? Wow.

I have you pegged as one of those gutless, "unlisted" types. You wanna step up to the plate and allow yourself to get trammpled? Because if not, shew fly.

Hamish is as untouchable as untouchable gets.

And West Coast aren't going to take junk/roleplayers and a mid-to-late first rounder.

But we won't. We have one of the worst drafting records.

I mean in the superdraft we drafted Hale before Bartel, Dal Santo, Montagna, Waite... And then we draft Ashley Watson.

Waite was a father son. He was always going to Carlton.
Fremantle chose Polak (4), WCE picked Sampi (6) and St. Kilda picked Xavier Clarke (5) BEFORE Hale at pick 7.
But I'm glad we didn't choose Luke Molan (9 - Melb), Sam Power (10- Bulldogs), Richard Cole (11-Collingwood) or Barry Brooks (15-Port) in the Superdraft either.
Looking at a draft 5+ years on is easy. On the day let Nifty do his work.

For Judd, I'd give McIntosh + Wells + 2nd Rounder.

I think you've forgotten to take your medication for the day.

Moving on to serious topics.

At the trade table, for North.

UNTOUCHABLE - Players we build the team around
McIntosh
Harris
Firitto
Pratt
Corey Jones
Harvey
Simpson
Archer
Wells
Jesse Smith
Petrie
McMahon
Thompson

PROBABLY UNTOUCHABLE BUT MIGHT BE CONSIDERED FOR THE RIGHT PRICE
Jess Sinclair
Andrew Swallow (Breaks my heart)
David Hale <--Trade bait, big time
Aaron Edwards

I would not be suprised nor disappointed if we used David Hale in our trade talks at the end of the year. Dangle a proven ruckman who can do very well up-forward in front of teams like Carlton, St Kilda or Collingwood, and our bargaining power increases exponentially.

We don't have a history of trading away players that don't want to go.

Unless Wells/Hamish/whoever actually wants to leave the mighty NMFC then you wouldn't trade them.

Oh...except for Br***. :D

Are you aware David Hale signed on for three years about a month ago?

I realise contracts can be fwded on (Jade Rawlings) to next club but I severly doubt North are willing to shaft Hale.
