Calsher Dear’s couple of classic catches against Carlton got me wondering who are the best leapers across the competition?

Howe, Heeney, Bolton, Reid are some names that come to mind - who takes the most/best speccies for your club, and who does it best full stop?

Naughton used to, he's in some good form at the moment but 19-21 year old Aaron Naughton was so good, although probably less speckies and more just ridiculous contested marks. Weightman is one that can do it a bit for us but he's been injured - the one he took on Max Gawn in 2021 was very good, in the wet.

We don't really have any others that spring to mind.

not my club...but Howe was the man at it.
Age might have slowed that down now, and that arm injury come down from getting to high

Pickett certainly flies for the most, but IIRC, he's pulled down a grand total of two for his career (both this year).

for Richmond Bauer try's to win mark of the year in each VFL game he plays.
Doesn't mark many, but he frustratingly try's each week.

Jack Henry
Jack Bowes

Only Henry can really be found in packs though, unless I've misunderstood the thread title.

Probably Heeney. Very strong marker of the ball and has quite a leap on him sometimes too.
Not sure if that’s a deliberate understatement. He has a massive leap and the mark he pulled down against GWS last year was one of the best I’ve seen. I loved Bolton’s a few years ago as well. I just love a jack-in-the-box player. He and Isaac have that incredible ability to seemingly get way up high without needing the run up. They just go up vertically. Jeremy Howe of course was probably the GOAT.
