Who are the best AFL talent scouts (BF, other online sources and media)?

A big reason I'm a fan of us hitting the draft more so than bringing in delistings or older players, Emma would be in the top 5 for U18 knowledge

Maybe in the journalist world this statement was correct, but not sure it flows into the recruitment world.

So its probably not talent scouting as much as draft predicting. But last year i rated the phantom makers on their prediction vs the actual draft.
The prediction was scored 20 points for getting it correct 19 for a miss by 1 place down to 1 for missing by 10. etc
The top 20 was the same but started with 20 points.

So for example Callum Twomey's top 10 had.
Raynor - 20 points.
Davies Uniake 18
Dow -20
Fogarty -12
etc

So scores for top 10 prediction, top 20 prediction and 11-20 prediction were:

BF Snoopdog 187/298/98
Knightmare Final 186/309/123
Sam Landsberger 182/302/120
Twomey 182/295/113
BF Bishop 182/286/104
Brett Anderson 179/ 307/128
Knightmare Early 174/282/108
BF Chris25 160/270/110

Predicting the draft seems to be as much about getting inside information as it is about talent spotting. How else can we see the shift in someone like Knightmare's early prediction to his "day before the draft " prediction.

So best top 10 prediction was Snoopdog.
Best top 20 prediction was Knightmare's last prediction.
Best 11-20 was Brett Anderson.

Landsberger and Knightmare's last accurately predicted 7 players getting to the right clubs.
Snoopdog had 6.

I am the opposite. I like to see how the players go in 10 years that they highly rated.

Quigley rating Brown (North Melbourne) years before he was drafted is a great example.

i agree, thats the difference between what the other guy said which is "closest to what AFL recruiters are thinking" Vs "actually spotting the best talent"
