She'll probably get $100 fine as she hires a femonazi lawyer and pins all the blame on her husband

Yep, Post Natal Depression will get the blame again and she will be sent back home with an apology for arresting her.
Once the Femnazis have finished with this case, it will have the spin that her huband is an absolute crud and was the cause of it all.

exactly I thought the same thing when I saw the mother's unbelievable claim. But what kills me is when a poor kid is injured or killed by a parent ....the media used to blame social services or the schools for not "Stepping in in time" or some mental excuse. Will nobody take responsibility for their own actions anymore?

Can't say I'm surprised. It wasn't the most plausible explanation ever.

Poor baby. Give the mother life.

It's just like how there was some ruling about doctors having to pay an amount of money to this woman who had a baby she 'didn't want' after getting sterilised. Can't she just learn to accept some responsibility and keep her legs closed? I wonder how the kid would feel later on when he learns that mummy and daddy got some money for a kid they didn't want in him. Society is in such a sad state today.

PND or not, you've gotta be one sick tool to kill your own kid. Puts a new slant on Caroline Springs. Wonder if Newk will still want to be involved with the advertising?

If it was someone who was going through post natal depression and just admitted she couldn't hack it later on I could sympathize, without the palava.

But for someone who makes up such an elaborate story or who appeared to have the story all worked out beforehand just leaves me cold. It is a very mad world.

I saw footage on the news tonight of the mother calmly walking around the front yard while police were investigating.

No suprise to hear she was charged.

You deducted that she was gulty because she walked around calmly in the garden?

Brilliant!

I'd say it was more the walking than the calmness...:p

its very sad and it should never have happened.

having said that charges have been laid and its probably inappropriate to continue discussing this particular circumstance.

Well spotted, although deducted is usable in that sentence. It is simply past tense of deduction. Both would suffice.

A sentence featuring both spellings might go-"The authorities have deduced that she should be deducted from society." I hope that that's what the newsreaders present us with come sentencing of the sick mole.

Wouldn't be the same media that whinges that social services have too much say in the raising of kids this days? Naaaah.

the worst bit is how she tried to say it was someone else, as if anyone ever believed that for a second.
