Who do the Pies draft?

Gumbleton...big marking CHF type? J.Selwood? Unsure. Maybe others have a better idea of the depth of this draft...

As i said on previous threads we should stay clear from Jetta, does not look like being a midfielder with his skinny frame and we got enough crumbers in Davis,Didak and even Thomas, even if he was a midfielder he would be a outside midfielder and we have plenty of those.

I think we should be targeting Selwood with #8 and Riewoldt with #10

Their non-existent draft picks will show even less.....

They traded their picks last year too so the time is now for the Dockers. If they dont win a flag they might be a bit light on down the track in 3 years +

Taz was the only decent draftee of ours during the 95-98 period who was anygood. Our team atm is made up of young guns and old guns. Our mid tier is horrific

It makes sense to trade him and try and build a dynasty of kids during 2004-2007 who can all play (Egan, Rusling, T Cloke, Thomas, Pendlebury, Pick 8, 10 this year) and come through the ranks together

With most respects you are right, however, on this point, I have to disagree. Jetta has a very good frame for a player of his height, and he actually appears to have put on weight during the season. I don't think being chronically skinny is going to be a problem, but likewise I don't see him as a Richard Cole-type who might balloon outwards.

That said, your assessment of him being outside in style is a valid point.

I really doubt that St Kilda will pick Riewoldt.

They already have one like him (obviously) and they will be looking almost solely for midfield depth in the draft.

We can't be too fearful of what other teams are going to do...

Saints will probably aim for a midfielder. Unless something ridiculous happens, Selwood or Proud at 8 should be our aim. KPP at 10 maybe.

i would like to see us pick up the best of the left overs at 8 because it seems to me that one will be a slider. hopefully sellar. but if not i would love to see selwood drop.

top talent played against him when i was younger is exactly what we need a inside tough player.

and then at ten if riewoldt isnt available id look to see us go after armitage. i like the look of this kid. seems somewhat of a smooth player.

with our next pick if id like to see us target bachar houli. i have a feeling he will be available. kid is a freak of the highest nature and has always been. is a veyr smart player and despite injuries has always been fast. the queries on his pace have always been over-exxagerated. is not express but is better than most of our list.

id love to see a ruckman picked up too.

i wouldn't mind sellar at 8 if he is still available- id think that would be a steal. Ive heard in any ohter draft he could have been the #1 pick. Yet, im expecting 2 mids to be taken but i do think we will nab a tall. Alot of people pumping up armitage- is he good enough to go top10?? I was thinking more along of the lines of proud/selwood or jetta- 2 out of the 3 would be a dream.
