I don't know what the club sees in Matt Shaw. Older, lesser skilled, more error prone and softer than Blaine Boekhorst. You could say that he was the opposite of a coach's favorite up here as well. When the Suns were desperate for AFL talent there's a reason why they looked in every other direction.

Good on Nick Holman on getting picked up too.

Bloody Matt Shaw how uninspiring

Okay with O'Shea. Not sure we particularly need another of his type but he has shown AFL quality.

Less comfortable with Matt Shaw. Gives us pace and a mature body but not the disposal quality we are trying to develop.

Can you please explain how you think Buckley is "extremely" talented? He is all heart but lacks talent and skill imo. Will be 25 by the time the next season rolls around and had been given enough chances.

Graham performed far better than Buckley at VFL and AFL level.

What were you guys expecting?

We were linked to these 2 guys from a long way out and no pick in the rookie draft is going to be that exciting at the time of recruitment...they're only being picked up in the rookie draft for a reason.

I like this tactic SOS is using of going hard in the draft but using some 'not so valuable' rookie picks on mature depth players like these 2 and ASOS last year to help the development of the kids.
