Who do you expect will be put on the trade table?

Hyde kept Bateman quiet too.

I don't mind Polo, but he's not getting a run for whatever reason, and when he does, he doesn't do much quite frankly. Jackson's obviously got the jump on him and we can't fit them both in. I've inquired over at the Port board if they'd be interested in trading Thomson for Polo. Any interest in that?
If he can not kick the football then no.

Everyone's tradeable, bar Cotch, Lids & Foley.

Everyone is tradeable - no exceptions. If Franklin said in the press "I don't like Hawthorn - but I want to stay in Melbourne" - well, that's what happened last year with Judd.

Deledio and Foley are not in the Top 10-15 players in the AFL. If one of those players became available (assuming similar ages etc) , the club would have to look at what is required.

Lids will be soon...bear in mind being a Richmond player he doesn't draw the hype from the anti-Richmond media.

I wouldn't trade Deledio or Cotchin for Judd let alone Franklin who is a star but ridiculously overhyped ("potentially greatest ever" my arse)...put in him a side with an ordinary midfield and no Roughead or Williams as second & third options ..which is in effect what we'd be without one or two of either Lids, Cotchin or Foley...and see how good he is....unless you want another decade of Richo-like frustration...

Crap!!!!!

There are exceptions and lots of them. We are building a football club, again, and there has been a lot of work done with a lot of players whio are developing into a tight Richmond unit.
That can be as important as trying bring in some high flyer from another club. Give the players loyalty and you give them confidence. With confidence, they play better. They play better, we win more games. Not too difficult.

If players aren't up to it there should be no sentimentality. We aren't in the business of building happy relationships we are in the business of winning premierships.

Careful now BF.....you'll offend sensitive types around here who don't care for such unpleasant concepts and politically incorrect phrases such as "Ruthless Richmond" ...apparently that era wasn't an "image" for the club to be proud of...nevermind all the flags we won...that's secondary to being thought of as a bunch of "nice blokes" by everyone....:o

Yes, but it goes beyond sentimentality. The players need to believe in themselves and their team mates. Bloody sure team harmony and morale plays a huge part of success. In most things. From belief, can come premierships.
I know it's not as simplistic as that, but happy teams win games. Teams that know each other, and work together get success, as long as there is some talent there. Champion team against team of champions and all that stuff.
I'm not talking fringe players here, but the integral players. Deledio, Cotchin, Richo, Foley, Newman,Thursfield, Jack, Moore, Joel Bowden etc, etc. they are Richmond players. They should stay that way. We'll benefit in the long run.
