Who is everyone going for in finals this year?

Since I promised myself that every 1000th (2000th coming up) post would be a good post and on the Freo Board, I thought I might start up conversation. Who is everyone going for to win the flag this year and who are you all hoping DOESN'T win the flag? And please explain why!

As you all know I'm going for Brisbane because I live in Brisbane (well, 100 kilometres north anyway) and everyone else in my family barracks for Brisbane. The other team I'd be going for is Geelong because they're all relatively new to finals and I've always had a soft spot for them.

Having said this, I DON'T want Essendon or St.Kilda to win it as most of their supporters are arrogant snobs who seem to have a grudge against everyone else.

With this, I tip Either Michael Voss, Simon Black or Robert Copeland to win the Norm Smith from the Lions or Gary Ablett Jr from Geelong!

Lions by a mile, I love how they play, how honest they are and simon black is my favourite non freo player.
I despise the power, would love to see them loose the grand final...no make that killed in the grand final.
Saints come across as arogant
I hate loylld so dons miss out.
Geelong are no threat
Sydney normally are my second team

I hope one of the Melb sides win it, although it does look unlikely.

7. Brisbane (I like the team, just dont like a team dominating)

Port is a strange one, cause i'd love to see them choke aswell.

Ideal final would be Brissy v Port, I think it'd be a classic (and no vic teams would be nice to see, although it'd ruin the atmosphere somewhat)

I usually get bored with a team dominating but they are a real class outfit. The best team I have ever seen, well bar the Black Ducks 82, 83, 84 .....

I lived o/s for three years and we had Australia TV on cable - each weekend we'd get an AFL game on Sat and Sun. As AusTV was produced in Sydney every home game of Sydney's was played - and a large number of their games played in Melb also, so we were basically seeing Sydney almost every week. I think in the 3 years, I probably saw about 3 Freo games (one a derby, and one v Sydney , and can't remember the other...) Long story made short, I developed a bit of a soft-spot for Sydney, so I guess it's them. But Brisbane are so awesome, I would love to see them go for 4 in a row. And if Port were to win, then Josh would be more likely to come home (he may stay to win a premiership if they don't)...

Having said all that, I was really after a "Mighty Red V" victory, but the bloody Ducks took care of that on Sunday...

It was great to get along to a WAFL game that had a bit of passion on the weekend. The Mighty Black & Whites supporters were in full voice!

If we play like that this week CLaremont will get rolled and then its on to the big one!

For my sanity, a Brisbane premiership would probably be the best result.
