No bias here but.....Melo!

Very impressed with Nash and Bosh so far though...and of course Kobe

Melo leading easily...his numbers are massive so far - albeit only 7 games in.
31.4PPG in 09/10 vs 24.1PPG over his career
Also committing less turnovers than any other season...

I am scared now as a Nuggets supporter that JR Smith is back playing tomorrow. I must say he is a liability for Denver.

the reason i made this thread was admittedly to see how much Nash and the suns are being recognised as I feel they don't get as much credit as they have so far deserved on this board..

So its good to see some are taking notice.

For mine:

Nash
Melo
Kobe
LeBron
Wade
Bosh
Pierce

that's what i thought. was tempted to say "insert teams own player here" in my earlier post, but thought better of it.

dont worry about getting credit. nothing matters until the playoffs really.

sometimes the mvp award doesnt necessarily reflect the real best player of the season. when dirk, kobe and nash won theirs it raised some eyebrows at the time.

if nash and his team keep it up the sun will rise up again in phx

Nash for me. He is having a superb start to the season, near career best form. Suns could be the goods.

In my view Melo has the lead at this point by a wisker to Dirk.

Dallas 5 - 2, Dirk averaging 26 points, 8 boards, 3 assists, 1 block and 1 steal. Leads the NBA in +/- by a fair way (not the most telling stat though) and has put in a totally clutch performances, the 29 point final quarter to get the Mavs over the line against the Jazz.

Dirk not bad odds at $21 too. If the Mavs can get their team to gel on a consistent basis he may be in with a good shot if he keeps this form up.

Its LeBron now, and will be LeBron at the end of the season as well. He scores so efficiently its unbelievable to watch him play sometimes. Today against Orlando he scored the easiest 36 points I have seen, the people on these forums are unbeleivable the way they bag him, Australians are the worst for tall poppy syndrome. Put simply LeBron is the best Basketball player alive, his skill set is unlike any other player ever given his size (some will say Magic, but Lebron scores alot more than Magic did), he could average 40 a game if he wanted to, and he plays defense unlike any other star, outside of Kobe and D Wade.
