Who will coach the Eagles in 2014?

To clarify Sinclair wasn't upgraded but given a new 2 year rookie deal I believe. The suggestion is he was otherwise heading home. I'm over us giving spots on our list to blokes who project as list cloggers. We've done too much of it and I reckon we should have just waited until the new coach was in place for his input into these decisions....

Whilst not disputing your logic, as its sound, the only reason I can see why they would do this if they thought that this year they may be under the 95% of the salary cap.

Front loading his contract helps WCE to make the 95% salary cap this year, given that we are likely to have fair bit of cap room, and then money can be used on a free agent or signing Nic Nat next year.

WC and Simpson won't have said anything, so I daresay the board met, made their decision and let Suma know.

He's either told someone in the media he hasn't got the job, or informed Freo he is staying and it got out that way.

No idea whether Simpson can coach, guess we'll find out - but a fresh set of eyes will be good IMO

Was just a joke aimed at earlier references to PowerPoint. I'm aware that Suma is much smarter than he comes across.

I'm very happy with Simpson. He was my preference from day 1 (although I wavered when I thought we were in for Clarkson).
