I think people on this forum can be a little highly strung when seeing players being compared. Fair enough if you disagree, but you will find when judging up and coming players, many people will use current and past players to explain their thoughts on the said players style and skill set.

Ken Hinkley started him as a lock down player with the defend, defend, defend mantra drilled into him, don't worry about getting a kick just defend. Now Ken is allow him a little more freedom and take a few risks running off players and backing his judgement and now maybe we can see him gather a few possessions and his skill level will be show. In another month he'll be looking like a favourite for the award.

He would need to do what he did last week and more every single round until the end of the season and have the front runners in Langdon, Dunstan, McDonald and Taylor to stop dead in their tracks to get close to being a favourite.
