So what your basically saying is Dunstan is far advanced for the position he is playing?

No, that's not what I'm saying.

The comparison with Selwood is flawed, because Selwood wasn't playing as a pure inside mid in his first year.

Thats what make Dunstan a clear favorite as he is doing what even the best insides mids werent doing in their first year.

Pendlebury is the model comparison for anyone who has time, space and an ounce of class. With no disrespect to Aish, Bonts or Billings, the Pendlebury comparison is thrown around very loosely
I think people on this forum can be a little highly strung when seeing players being compared. Fair enough if you disagree, but you will find when judging up and coming players, many people will use current and past players to explain their thoughts on the said players style and skill set.

KK is going to be crazy good. His kicking and reading of the play is elite already, just needs to add some bulk. Would be the best player out of the draft when their careers are done. Can't believe he went at 5. Coming through a poorer junior set up than any of the other states (barring QLD) and put him in a professional environment you get a freak.

Anyone who quotes Shakespeare in their sig tag must be knowledgeable!

A player that has a higher contested possession percentage than another player is not automatically better at getting contested possessions.

The next few weeks maybe we see the rise of Jarman Impey. Ken Hinkley started him as a lock down player with the defend, defend, defend mantra drilled into him, don't worry about getting a kick just defend. Now Ken is allow him a little more freedom and take a few risks running off players and backing his judgement and now maybe we can see him gather a few possessions and his skill level will be show. In another month he'll be looking like a favourite for the award.

He would need to do what he did last week and more every single round until the end of the season and have the front runners in Langdon, Dunstan, McDonald and Taylor to stop dead in their tracks to get close to being a favourite.
