Ben Brown - 58 goals, has led since round 5. Games against Adelaide and St Kilda to come. Will be his first Coleman Medal, and the first player for North to win it since current Sydney coach John Longmire in 1990.

Jack Riewoldt - 58 goals, consistent season, shot to the equal lead with 10 goals against the Suns. Trailed Brown by 13 goals as recently as round 17. Bombers and Bulldogs in the final two rounds. Looking for his third Coleman Medal, equalling recent greats Dunstall, Ablett Sr and Lloyd.

Lance Franklin - 52 goals, early leader through to round 4, before he missed three games. Giants and Hawks to finish off the season. 11 goals behind Brown at round 10 and 9 behind at the end of round 18. Would be his fifth Coleman Medal, equalling John Coleman and only behind Dick Lee (7) and Gordon Coventry (6) for wins.

I'd give Hawkins more chance than Franklin, his last 2 games are against Fremantle and the Gold Coast and he could kick some serious bags

I reckon Dimma let the boys take the piss during the GC game but would want to go back to their 'structures' for the last two games going into Finals - and thus be less Jack focused.

Given North's season is effectively over after today it makes more sense for them to have the capacity to try win Ben a Coleman. So Ben for mine.

Agree. He could come home with a rush.

Browny had 2 free kicks near goal today that we paid as advantage with team mates goaling. Those 2 may cost him the medal.

Obviously would love Jack to get it but have a feeling Brown might win it.

Has there ever been a tie for the Coleman? Can't think of any off the top of my head.

I think the Coleman tallies on goals first, and points second. So if two players are on 65 goals, the one who has kicked more points wins. Would be very unlikely to have a genuine tie.

Franklin would need a couple of bags against two good teams, can’t see it.

I know there’s the bye before finals so resting isn’t as big a thing, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Richmond rest a few against the dogs. Whether Riewoldt is one of them is another question. If he plays the last two I’d expect he gets it.

Hawkins is a good shout at the prices. Could easily see him kicking 12-15 goals across the next two games.

I reckon if the Cats get an early jump Hawkins could kick 12 vs Gold Coast. Definitely not ready to put a line through him.

Brown has a fair chance to tear it up against the Saints. If he can manage 3+ against the Crows, I'd say it's his. Maybe wishful thinking.

The Tigers have the luxury of being able to feed JR to help him get there, the others will be too concerned with trying to get into the top 8, so I think he'll take it out.
I dont reckon Dimma will allow that to happen from now on. He was actually pretty unhappy with the game on Saturday, reckons we butchered alot of goal opputunites because they were looking for Jack so much and we sort of went away from our structures and game plan because of it.

Richmond will be trying to get some form and polish going into finals, so wont be likely to mess around like that.

North on the other hand is unlikely to make finals, so could easy just switch to "Kick it to Ben". He's also a massive umpires favorite, so they could help him over the line.

I don't think Richmond will want to mess with our normal structures going into the last few games of the season in preparation for the finals. Against GC Riewoldt didn't play his traditional game. He pretty much spent about 80% of the game in the forward 50.

He normally spends about 50-60% of the game in the forward 50 and the rest of it up the ground.

Just realised North have the last game of the season too. Will be interesting to follow.

I suspect Riewoldt will win it. Certainly capable of 8-10 goals without doing too much outside the ordinary against the Bombers and then us to finish the season.
