I haven’t seen this thread posted yet but since the draft is just around the corner, I thought what better way to spark controversy and draft discussion then simply by stating who you don’t want your club to draft. I was inspired by a certain Melbourne fan who said he would stop supporting his club in 2019 if they drafted Luke Jackson

in the 2014 version of who you don’t want. A recent one for my bombers supporters was Tsatas (including myself) did not want this guy and were advocating for the likes of Humphrey, Phillipou, McKenzie and the infamous McGrath over Hugh Mcluggage

Now it’s time to put your necks on the line, who are the 2025 draft prospects you don’t want your club drafting, I think I’ve seen Melbourne fans being the most vehement on Aidan Schubert.

For me I really like the prospects around my picks but if I had to pick it would be to NOT draft Sam Grilj/Schubert. I’m not saying they won’t be good players, I just prefer Sharp, Taylor, Robey, Cumming.

Not going to address our ruck issues( we're more likely to pick up a genuine ruck in the next 2 drafts.
Isn't the best key forward in the draft

type, rather than a genuine top 3 small forward in the competition. If you're selecting in the first round, you want somebody presenting more elite than that.

Wouldn't mind picking him up if available at second selection though. Just feel like there will be much better options available when our first pick comes.

Greeves is genuine just another one paced Mark McGough.

Struggles in defensive transition and with the game moving so quickly in terms of the rule change, can see this guy ending up like George Stevens type career.

Greeves is number 1, but I have very mixed feelings on Farrow for the Eagles. I just can't fathom that we would consider drafting him if he wasn't from WA. Think he'll be a talented player but not hit the Hayden Young

He'll tear up the VFL statistically and everyone who doesn't actually watch the games will complain about why he's not playing seniors for years on end, followed by a quiet delisting in season 4 or 5.

I don't think he's a total write off, but he won't cut it at Geelong. He's the antithesis of what Scott values.

We already have JVR, Kentfield and Jefferson as developing tall forwards. Schubert wouldn’t even get a proper game in the VFL for us (with Mihocek, Petty, Johnson also who we have as key tall forwards).

Also we just lost our 2 key midfielders in Petracca and Oliver so would be idiotic to draft a tall forward who may not even get a proper run in the 2s due to the pecking order ahead of him when we just lost the midfield depth we did.

I don't think this is realistic. Xavier Taylor is highly likely to go to one of Richmond or Essendon, and if not then I'm sure the Dees would be ecstatic to come out with Xavier Taylor and Dovaston

Fair, I read his phrasing as more so denying the need for a KPF rather than looking at only mids

Farrow frees up Rivers/Windsor to play midfield and Doverston frees up Pickett.

Schubert does sweet **** all in the VFL 2nds for us or competing for the same balls in the same VFL forwardline with Kentfield, Jefferson and Johnson down at windy Casey.
