I have noticed the Richmond supporters have gone quiet tonight! It seems they have shown they have made no progress over the pre-season, gone backwards IMO.

They were saying how crap we were when Freo done us in SA. I am just asking where there yap has gone? No gloating from me, as i know we have plenty to prove ourselves.
The yap will return and deservedly so if we lose to a Port side missing 8 of its best 10.

I think, where Richmond are concerned, that we should keep our 'powder' dry until after Round 1. What happens in the next 3-4 weeks counts for nought. Round 1 & beyond is what really matters.
Even though the Tigers suck, they will no doubt come out fired up against us! I will be happy with a win.... even by 1 point!
By about round 5 all the ferals will be calling for Terry Wallet's head and then by the time our second clash comes around, a nice 10 goal win will be the final nail in Wallett's coffin. Talkback radio will be very ugly and there will be spitting and manure incidents!! Like the Tigers of old.......

After our recent NAB Cup performances, I'd have thought Carlton supporters of all people realized just how much the NAB Cup counts for come the season proper.

so how do we rate the saints 2nds this year, i know they only played against richmonds 1st's, but how will they go against a good VFL team like frankston or port melb?
It's hard too tell when they have had such a weak lead up game against the worst performed afl club in the last 26 years.

You'd think with a full team in they would have at least matched St.Kilda but they were pretty ordinary. The big move was Deledio into the forward line- while he played alright I don't think that'll make a huge difference for them.

Although I want to see us play well today, yep the result is not important in the big scheme of things. I will smile once we beat Richmond in round 1 only. A couple of pre-season trophies should have taught us not to get excited by these games. But with only a couple of players missing it is looking bleak for the Tigers. Screw them. No sympathy for the same people who have been sticking it to us. But lets not get ahead of ourselves. The season is a wheel barrow. The job is ahead of us.

As i stated previously, i was only asking why they had gone quiet. And i am fully aware that we have a point to prove ourselves this season. The Richmond supporters where full of yap before their game last night and dissapeared after it. Only asking where there yap has gone!

I don't think these games mean much. Having said that, the Tiges fielded full strength list, and I think it's fair to say their list mismanagement as now hit Crisis Point. We saw the full array of Miller gaffs on display last night. It was terrible. Where do they start to fix this mess? The first thing to do is boot Miller ASAP, and replace Terry mid season. And then a massive list clean out. The problem at Tigerland, is not only do they stuff up their draft picks, they also trade them away for average-at-best types like McMahon and Morton. It's like as though they've lost any confidence in developing their own players, which I guess is understandable given their shocking track record. The Richmond Football Club is complete disaster.
Just setting the record straight, out of our regulars we were missing:
- Thursfield
- Mcguane
- Edwards
As well as not having
- Coughlan
- Polo
- Cotchin
I am not using that as an excuse, we were not that good last night, but I would not say it was full strength especially when two of our main defenders were not there.
