Nah, let Eddie pull out the sword and start chopping. Sick of all the fakers, bullsh1tters and holy-rollers. As bad as the Kew incident was last year from round 16 our club galvanised like no-ones business and that's the way it's gotta be.

We don't get any respect from these commentators and never will. They positively wet themselves when something goes wrong, the rest of the time it's snide comments, cheap-shots and deafening silence.

I want to see them all choke on their breakfast chops when Collingwood win a flag.

I know that wont stop the Eddie haters but to all oyhers, let it go, don't fuel the Eddie haters up. Eddie is still the best thing that hapened to Collingwood since we won the flag (although if Sir Nathan returns to us as coach he will have some competition, then again if Sir Nathan does return it will probably be Eddies' doing anyway.)

Supporters and the media might get fired up by comments made by various people, but surely the players are playing at 100% capacity everytime they take the field, so any comments really cant take you beyond what you are capable of.

If players do find an extra yard or find extra commitment for the ball just because of comments made, then I'd be questioning their work ethic in the first place.

spot on fumanchu. Players should not need extra motivation for must win games which for us and the tigers most games are. Its normally media driven rubbish. Once the ball is bounced I am quite certain the players will be focused on the job at hand not on who said what

Your right the AFL, the umpires and the press can't treat us any worse than they do now, so what have we got to lose. We ARE Collingwood and the rest just want to be even if they don't openly admit it. Just because I dislike posturing and overly emotional people in positions of power, doesn't mean I dont like the club. Eddie just needs to keep his mouth shut and let his record speak for itself. Who really cares what other clubs and their supporters think of what happens at Collingwood?

There was a time when it was that us v them, which galvanised the club. The club loved it. Now it seems as soon as the club gets criticised, Eddie has to make a stand. At the end of the day, taking a stand or not taking a stand, he and we still do what we were always going to do, so why waste the energy bleating about criticism from outside? Why not listen to what they got to say, take from it what you will and just move on.

As for us who barrack for Collingwood, it is appropriate that we do analyse and discuss what goes on in the club. How do you think ddie got to be boss? Because he felt things could be done better, so he is no different to me in that he has been critical of certain things at the club.

Only the mindless will blindly follow and not question. That might be you, it might not. But one day, I guarantee you that if he doesn't deliver, you will question him as well. Its just that you seem to be quite content with no flags for prolonged periods, whereas I am all for holding him to his promise to deliver onfield success. And if a boot in the arse from supporters is what it takes to shake things up and get the focus back on how to win a flag, then so be it. And that is not to say I dont like the job he has done, I reckon he is the man for however many years ahead. But that doesnt mean he does everything right and is not open to scrutiny.

If he gets us a flag, I'll shut up, until then either block me or learn to live with it.

You know these arseholes are having a crack at Collingwood first and foremost.. Eddie is just a convenient vehicle for their agenda.. you know that.. so get on board with your club for a change Fu.. You're like an opposition plant.

Actually I reckon because Eddie has personalised so many issues over the years, they are having a crack at him. They really only have a few things to criticise the club for, it seems pretty much directed at him.

And I am all for the contest. If you open your gob, then make sure your house is in order. And that goes for anyone. Eddie reacts, so its human nature to poke at the bear who reacts. Maybe Eddie should learn that. But he really has trouble dealing with criticism. If it was me, I'd listen, turn around, mutter under my breath something that only you would write on EB&W and go away and ensure that I won the next battle by proving them wrong. All he is doing now is feeding the antagonists more fodder because they know he reacts and they will again next time he opens his gob.

As for getting behind the club, its never in doubt. But perhaps you are too narrow minded to actually see that. I also notice that you only choose to address little pieces rather than discuss anything in its entirity. Whats the problem? ADD?
