Why is it that the week before we play teams, they get a constant rap in the media?? This seems to make them play SO SO much better against us! Eg. Port, Carlton. With Melbourne constantly being put down in the papers , they bound to burst out on Friday night, just for Neale!!!

They had won the glorified prectice match series and we were both undefeated in the real season.

But so should we. Especially after that insipid performance under a fortnight ago!
That crap doesn't wash with me. We should be fired up for every game we play, especially considering our 2006 season!

I was just thinking the same thing, that the team we play each week seems to be given extra motivation. Maybe every team sees it like this though. It is good in a way, means we have to step up a little more each week and we'll be better for it. If the opposition is extra pumped it is probably the closest thing to getting finals experience.
Did not do much when Danny 'spud the dud' Frawly left also. I thought that Essendon would beat Melbourne?? I thought that you have your own motivation also? Stay in contact with the top 8. Maybe you under estimate your own club? Kevin would know all this stuff I been saying also

We would want to win they are a pathetic excuse for a club. I hate them and most of their supporters are bandwagon, all clubs have them but Melbourne and Stk seem to have more.
They are playing for their coach we are almost playing for our season almost everyweek, if we lose it's an 8 point loss 4 points every other side minus coll and ade got and the 4 points that went begging. We won't lose!
