Reading the Media and they are Blaming Moore and the Backline for our Losses. Yes they where not great vs Tigers in 1st Half but I thought Backline and Moore where Okay vs Dogs

BUT in Both Games our Midfield got Crucfied as they could barley win any Clearances and Stuggle to have a Impact.

So why no Blame goes onto the Midfield and just go after Moore and the Backline?

Also shows that Losing Grundy made our Midfield Worse and not Better then some said would Happen

Just a matter of opinion, but I think the bolded is over the top. Had a few off moments the past 2 games but, honestly, who would want his job? The ball was coming in at speed and far too often.

It comes in with little to no midfield pressure also. Watching the ball go inside our forward 50 to multiple unmanned defenders then to see it shoot through the midfield and into the defensive 50 with loose forwards everywhere is a tad perplexing. Are we playing with 15 on field players? Is it work ethic? Is it coaching?

Crisp is a half back pinch-hitting in midfield.

De Goey is a forward who has spent time as a one-dimensional, purely offensive midfielder.

Adams is a gut busting inside mid with limited disposal skills.

Pendlebury is no longer playing midfield because he can’t save us forever.

Nicky D is still in development.

Joshy D is better played off a wing.

I’m shocked to be standing here while our midfield sucks.

Crisp may not be on huge bucks but Jordy and Adams are very well paid.

No doubting he’s had a good season so far but those three got it handed to them on Friday night and there’s no escaping that.

Agree to disagree, i didn’t see it getting handed to Crisp on Friday night , I thought he held his end of the bargain very solidly , the other 2 , yes , they were badly creamed by their direct opponents , very abysmal showing .

They are 3 limited players. Crisp is at least very reliable but adams seems to have lost his effectivness and JDG just isn't as good as some may think

I’ve been blaming them all along…poor delivery kills the forwards, and turnovers kill the defenders. We seem to have also lost our contested ball winning ability. We are shot.

Id assume a significant proportion of the population would consider anything north of $100k to be “huge” bucks relative to their own earnings and I doubt there’s too many players at the club who’ll earn less than that when you factor in minimum base payments and match payments.

The arbitrary performance v perceived earnings delineation is ridiculous when the side as a whole is underperforming. What level of that underperformance is attributable to Moore v what’s attributable to Josh Daicos v what’s attributable to Beau McCreery? Impossible to say yet it’s the Moore and Grundy’s of the team who are targeted by much of the hyperbolic vitriol.

That was certainly the timbre of the Grundy thread. Not so much that losing him would make the midfield better, but that we wouldn’t suffer too much from his absence, and that this would all be very illuminating for those of us who were supporting Grundy and in so doing demonstrating our ignorance of all things ruckwork.
