I take my hat off to the recruiting staff for these two stars!!!!!:D

What years were these 2 at North Melbourne. I can't remember them, maybe I was too young, or maybe they were very average AFL/VFL Footballlers.

I can't remember Ceglar either, but Passmore was around durng the mid-late 80's - 1987/88 would be my guess.

David Ceglar played 7 games for North in 1986 & 1987. Big lumbering sack of spuds he was.

Michael Passmore played 42 games for North between 1984 & 1988. Played some handy games on a half back flank, but at 187cm was often needed to play on taller opponents. Most memorable moment was Warwick Capper taking a hanger on him around 1987 in a night game!

Not much to write home about in either case...

David Ceglar's 200cm son has just been recruited by the Pies, I cam across this thread when searching for info.

Hope he doesn't spud it up like his old man apparently did.

John Ceeeeeeeeggglaaaaar!!!!

Saw Ceglar one day at VFl Park, took a mark just outside the goal sq.Went back, but didn't look confident.... yep failed to make the distance.Took another, looked to dish off, but then decided on the torp-( seriously would've been about 12 mtrs out) nearly got there, but was punched through.I remember turning to my old man and asking," what's a usless c**t, as the man over there keeps yelling it out".

It's great to see yah posting again Darky. :stern look

Mick Passmore was as committed and honest a footballer as you would ever hope to have at your footy club. Worked hard on the ground and got everything out of the ability he had, even if it was more limited than most who get to that level.

Gives me the shits when people bag big-hearted blokes like Passmore or throw around terms like "spud" at hard working clubmen. Do you think these players deliberately had less skill than their star team mates? Did Mick Passmore ever claim to be a star? Save the abuse for blokes that don't try.

I hope Thumping has matured enough to cringe when he looks back at a thread like this now.

Did you have any other sons, Mrs Passmore?

Michael Passmore was a red head and he did get everything he could out of his career.

Never forget going to the B&F and having Mick come up to me, ruffle my hair (I'm a red-head too) and say "You'll go a long way with that hair mate".

2 weeks later he was de-listed....:p
