Throw in Welsh, Porps, and Johncock, with Tippett quite possibly rising to second ruck/resting forward as well...not all doom and gloom.

If no injuries, gonna be hard to fit Tippett in as specialist forward initially, unless we go quite tall.
If anything, I think it would be "unrealistic" to fit Hentschel into the forward line next year full stop. He is coming back from a MAJOR knee injury where initially it was feared whether or not he would be able to walk again, let alone play.

I suspect that you will see Hentschel in SANFL a lot next year and playing mainly as a CHB which would allow him to run in straight line rather than twist and turn as a key forward.

As such, I can definetly see a spot for Tippett in the forward line instead of Hentschel. At least at the start of the season and see how it goes from there.

I get the feeling that people have some major expectations of Hentschel next year which IMHO is very unfair and unrealistic.

Fair enough:

HF: Porplyzia, Gill, Burton
FF: Welsh, Tippett, Johncock

still looks reasonable to me

Dismissed that he'd "quit" the club. Doesn't mean they wont delist him, but I'd be very suprised if either didn't happen.

Hentschel, Tippett, Sellar, Gill, McGregor, Welsh, Stevens, are all younger (except Welsh) and I'd say all leagues ahead of Perrie in the pecking order as far as our key forwards are concerned. No room for him and he has to go, its that simple.

If any combination of Hentschel/Gill/McGregor/Welsh/Stevens makes up our best set of key forwards then there are backups, all better than Perrie and within that group. If were unlucky enough to have a large group of them go down with injury then they'd be crazy not to give the resulting opportunities to Sellar and Tippett who will hoefully be knocking on the door anyway.

Sounds like we're keeping Jericho too. Good for the club to be able to string him along for another year but he really needs to make a decision to benefit his career. But even he could play lead up forward better than Perrie. Might not work as hard but he's tall, quick and can take a grab, would probably get a better output in general.
