Will this logo ever make a comeback?

This is possibly the saddest logo in all of sports.

This was the Geelong logo from the 1976 Scanlen's footy cards.
There was no such thing as official logos back then, if anything, the logo the club used was a GFC thing on a shield with a ribbon type thing, not unlike the new shape, but without a cat on it.

However, from a commercial point of viewm this was the predecessor to the standing, clawing cat, which was the first official VFL one.

Then there's this one, which was the first of the VFL's kids versions of the club logos.

I have a 6 year old daughter, and you shame her by associating this with her and her peers.
She is a much better drawer of cats than the person who produced this.

the logo freds get more of a run than the multiple SJ freds at the start of the season - and they got merged or deleted coz certain people were "precious".

Perhaps so, but it's pertinent to recognise that over half the Scanlen's logos became official club logos in 1977. (7 of 12; Carlton, Collingwood, Footscray, Hawthorn, North, South & StKilda)
There was some link between the VFL Licensing Division established in 1976 and the Scanlen's designers.
