All the slams have the semi finals of the men and women on the same day now. Indeed, the schedule for all slams is basically the same. The major difference is that The US and French have 3 days for the 1st round and Wimbledon has no night sessions due to the curfew.

In the 2nd week, Women semis on Thursday(night for US and Aus) and men semis are on Friday twilight.

I find the recovery aspect a bit of a weak excuse for starting quarters and semis at exactly the same time. Having them a couple hours apart would hardly make any difference. Talking firmly through my own pocket though wanting to watch them both.
