"I feel like I'm ready to go, but it comes down to keep working on it, review it and just playing my role," Wingard said.
"As long as I'm playing my role and doing the right things defensively, the offence will come"
His game against West Coast at Subiaco last year is another, and the Richmond game last year when he got 39 touches and a Brownlow vote are two more that come to mind, more so the West Coast game.Chad was SA under-18 captain as a midfielder, wasn't he? I can certainly see why the temptation to move him on ball was there, and there's still probably a role there for him to some degree. His lightening quick hands in traffic and ability at winning a clearance are pretty damn good. His first quarter on ball when we blew Hawthorn away early in 2015 was something to behold.

"We're not sure, we can't pinpoint it.
I blame the junior coaches/parents for not equipping the players with the focussed skill set required to be elite ball users at a preschool age. I blame the recruiters for picking players who arent elite ball users and ball getters. And I blame the coaches who can't set a gameplan around the skillset of the squad."We're not the most elite kicking side, but we've got to rely on our defensive pressure and the effort to try to get the ball to ground if it's not in our advantage,"
This mentality right here is our problem
The thing is also that Chad was keen to play in the midfield and saw himself in that role for the future. He may be adjusting his expectations that his build is not quite suited to AFL midfields.Good to see Chad's comments about the midfield, Wingard was doing well until we tried to make him into a midfielder. Chad made AA as a small forward then we suddenly decide he is a midfielder. We bought Rockliff and Motlop into the side to go with Ebert, Wines, Boak and Polec so maybe it is time to have Wingard, R Gray, S Gray, Dixon and Watts in our forward line and leave them there.
We have the talent but it is being grossly mismanaged atm. I just do not see what Hinkley and co are trying to achieve and sadly the victims are guys like Wingard, Dixon and Rockliff who are being used in positions that do not allow them to capitalise on their talent.
very much so - god. have to be better than that"We're not the most elite kicking side, but we've got to rely on our defensive pressure and the effort to try to get the ball to ground if it's not in our advantage,"

and getting depressed because Cleveland are losingI suspect that when the NBA Finals are over sometime next week, you watch his form line jump.
He's obviously put on weight eating Buffalo wings while binge watching the playoffs.
If he is I want him to know that he will always be good enough, and I’m 100% sure his hard work will translate to form soon enough!Chad's been reading this thread.

Wow... and so sad... what we were and what we could of been!!!!Geez, we were killing it with Lobbe and Mitchell in the team.... what has happened since!! We looked fast and aggressive in that vid, taking the game on.
At least both Kane and Tredders have some credibility in that area. Both of them certainly put every ounce of effort into being the best they could be.Interesting both Kornes and Tredrea have penned articles on that fact he is wasting his talent in the last 6 weeks.
Suspect the Club is using media proxies to spur him into lifting his professionalism to become the A grader he should always be.
When is he going to stop doing stupid things in the last few minutes of the game?http://www.afl.com.au/news/2018-06-06/ive-been-struggling-chad-plays-down-cornes-spray#/
"I've been struggling," Wingard told reporters on Wednesday.
"You can have a lot of excuses, but I'm not going to chuck any up there.
"It's really on myself, I've got to play at a better level.
"I'm just going to take it as a challenge and learn from it."

"The runner comes out and sprays you, or tells you what to do, a hundred times, and we have that conversation.
"It just happened to be on camera that time.
"There was nothing in it and it looked a lot worse than what it was."
"We're not the most elite kicking side, but we've got to rely on our defensive pressure and the effort to try to get the ball to ground if it's not in our advantage," Wingard said.
"A few boys are down on their kicking, but we're still working on it.
"It's something we can't drastically improve overnight."
Asked why kicking had been a weakness for the Power, Wingard replied: "It's a bit of personnel.
"Some people draft kickers and it might be (because of) our (game) style.
"We're not sure, we can't pinpoint it.
"I'm missing some kicks this year, ones that I should be hitting, but I'm reviewing it and working on it."
Wingard spent a lot of time in the midfield last year, but has moved forward after the Power recruited Tom Rockliff and Steven Motlop.
"My midfield role will be a lot less with those guys coming in," Wingard said.
"We're trying to find the right mix.
That bloody kick up the middle of the ground against the Crows ... that was dumb ..players were open on the wingWhen is he going to stop doing stupid things in the last few minutes of the game?
2 dumb kicks against WCE in the final in the last 2 minutes. The jumping into Clurey for a mark in front of the Hawks goal square with 4 minutes to go which caused Clurey to spill the ball and fall into Roughie and give away the free which resulted in the last goal of the game. He is quickly racking up dumb costly decisions. That bloody kick up the middle of the ground against the Crows ... that was dumb ..players were open on the wing
