Sampi (aka The Fat Wombat) allegedly set up Farmer with a hospital handball.

Well thats not what happened

There was a kick in the forward 50 from Sampi, Farmer was running back with the flight of the ball, the East Freo player coming from the other direction provided the contest and collected him with a fair bump

The East Freo player gave it to him as well as lied their unconscious in a very classy act

Marking contest. Jeffrey was running full tilt and the East Freo FB (6'6" Robert Young) was coming the other way. Young copped him in the head with his hip and Farmer spun before hitting the ground and not moving.

In a disgusting show of bad sportsmanship Young did the flinch thing at Farmer, where you pretend you're going to hit / kick someone - to scare them - but don't go through with it. Of course Farmer was out to it face down on the ground, so I don't know what he thought he was going to achieve.

There was a bit of push and shove after that right where Jeffrey was lying, until a few of Young's team-mates came and pulled him away. They didn't want anything to do with it, but Young looked as though he wanted to take all comers. Ryan Murphy getting right into him, a great display of flying the flag while staying within the rules! - and continued to do so for the rest of the match. Most of the Souths forwards had something to say to him at the time.

Meanwhile Jeffrey still wasn't moving and got stretchered off. Absolutely toolish behaviour from Robert Young. :thumbsd:

On another note - I saw Ibbo get up very gingerly at one stage in the third quarter I think, then I didn't see him again after that. Hope it's nothing serious.

Ibbertson kicked 2 goals in the last quarter so i think he should be right ;)

Showing your complete lack of class. :thumbsd:

Yeah not your best work QL

I hate Farmer like 90% of the non Freo supporters out there, but you never want to see any player knocked out like that

By his standards it is his best work, ****er of the highest proportions.

I was there to witness it, it soured the win for me.

:o

I was down the other end.... :o

I was looking all over for him, couldn't spot him.... :o

You sure it wasn't Andrew Foster (#14) - he was East Freo's best IMO...

Haha well i was going by the radio coverage and they said it was Ibbertson so i will take their word for it

Foster impressed me today, the sooner you guys promote him to your senior list the better, perhaps you can take out Gilmore, how that guy made it to the AFL is beyond me with the amount of clangers he makes

Where abouts were you seated? i was on the other side of the ground to where it happened

How bad were the East Freo ground staff? they only had 2 people manning the gates at the end i walked in, you would think foundation derby means big crows means more staff, but no instead they made everyone line up for ages.

The staff were shocking. I was sitting behind the south side goals for a while and there was the skinniest security guard I have ever seen. Seriously if this guy was 5 feet 10, he would of weighed about 50kgs. Kids were throwing balls over all the time, aiming for him. Get a grip and employ someone that can actually handle a bunch of 10 year olds.

hahah i seen him after half time walking around the ground with an ice pack over his face.. was getting all the cheers

Jeff Farmer

Injured at the Easts v Souths.

Had to be stretchered off, and I was having a good old chuckle at the Easts player, I think it was Theo Adams, who was telling him to get up. He got stretchered off later, too.

Anyway, the injury didn't look good, but I didn't really have a good view as I was on the eastern wing, and this occured on the western side of the ground, at RHF. can anyone tell me about what they saw and how serious it seemed?
