Picked this up today, love dual weilding and mowing down campaigners when i probably should stealth kill
Only gripe so far is having to manually pick up ammo, why???

Finished this late last night but was too tired to watch the movie (credits) at the end. Is it worth me finishing it again to get some closure to parts of the story?

It's bloody annoying especially when your getting ambushed why couldn't they just make it where you walk over the items.

Ammo and guns annoyed me, but having the choice on med kits and armour was a good idea.

I don't know if anyone played the original Castle Wolfenstein and Return to Castle Wolfenstein but I played the crap out of those games as a kid. You could not get me out of bed for school, but I could jump out at 6AM and go to the computer and play until I was caught by my parents or more likely a sibling tasked to round us up for school.

In this game when you get to play the original is it the whole game or just a part? I tried it several times and I eventually wake up but I never made it to Hitler.

I think I got to Hitler once.

Escaped in the original once then moved up a skill level and couldn't do it.

There has to be a ROM or online Flash version somewhere?

I thought it would progress as the game went on as to how far you could get but realised you couldn't once weren't getting back to the base. No Hitler for me

Finally unwrapped this from the packaging yesterday and have gone through 5 chapters so far (ended it after the great 'Nightmare').

This is a whole lot better than I ever expected it would be. Really feels like an old fashioned FPS but obviously brought into modern times. Gives me huge vibes of the first Medal of Honor game.

Gameplay is very quick and smooth, the guns are awesome fun, dual wielding works way better than it has the right to be and it never gets old killing Nazi's. The stealth can be a little dopey at times, when you have enemies literally looking at you and not trying to kill you, but it's made fun purely due to the great stealth kills you can perform. I really like the upgrade system, it follows that smart hook of 'use it and it will get better' which I have no idea how more games don't use this system for upgrades.

Going through on the 2nd hardest difficulty and can feel this is something I'd want to go through on Uber (and while I'm at it, go for the other choice), definitely feels like a very replayable game.

Very much enjoying this, can't wait to get further in too.

Still very much enjoying this, the more and more I play the more I see this as a really brilliantly put together game.

The people at MachineGames have adapted the idTech engine so well with regards to how levels play out, how they use vehicles on occasion I can't wait to see what this engine looks like with the theme of Doom as the backdrop. It should be absolutely incredible. I can't help but think how damn good this engine could be when we get further into this gen (thank god for Carmack!).

But back onto Wolfenstein. There's just so much to like about how it plays, there's plenty of exploratory moments, plenty of 'downtime' in between all the killing, and the stealth helps to break up that combat even more. I am blown away with how good it's been so far. The game has a few little faults, there could be a little bit more variety with regards to the enemies and there could also be a bit more of a fear factor with those enemies. I just never really feel like I'm in danger when up against them, which for an enemy built around the Nazi regime it shouldn't be that hard to have you fear them...but in the end they're a little laughable at times.

The story is a lot stronger than I'd have expected, going back to the 'hub' area provides some great further insight into the characters and some of the side moments are very well done.

Also, am I right in thinking that the trophy exploit mentioned earlier in this thread is changing the difficulty to Uber right at the end of the game to get that trophy? That seems like it could be a thing based on being able to change difficulty at any point.

Yes that is the exploit, but it won't work if you have any patches so if you want to do it you need to delete all patches, which on PS4 means deleting the whole game and reinstalling it.

Its not too bad though, game doesn't take too long to reinstall, then do what I did if you don't finish it one sitting, turn all auto downloads off so it doesnt download the patch overnight.
