Police investigating the discovery of a body on Trigg Beach in Perth's northern suburbs have said they are not treating it as suspicious.

The body was found in sand dunes opposite Clarko's Reserve about 6:00am today by a member of the public, who then notified police.

Local residents first on the scene have told the ABC it was the body of a woman.

Could be an abalone fishing death, but you would think family would know.

This has to be suicide or drowning.
