Wonders Give Thumbs Up to a Wonder
By Allota Fagina
The West Coast Wonders at last have a home ground arena to be proud of. In recent years they have had to share Subiaco Stadium with a number of other sports clubs across several leagues but for Season 15 they will be relocating to an actual wonder of the world. The West Coast Wonders new home ground will be The Colosseum.
In last nights press conference Wonders Vice Captain and Chief Admin Officer Wise Guy Sam revealed the well kept secret. It is a move that has been applauded by the leagues inner echelon and one that the Wonders player and official are proud of. The origin of the clubs name is based on the Wonders of the World and they too were officially announced as one a few years ago. This move is a clever link to the Colosseum that is not only a Wonder of the World but an arena set up for spectacular events.
Wise Guy Sam made mention that to play in the realm of the gladiator would serve as a constant inspiration to be ruthless when on the blood soaked ground. The club has a few short weeks to finish converting the partial ruins of the ancient world into a state of the art football stadium. The Colosseum could originally seat 50,000 spectators but the Wonders have removed up to 5000 seats to provide a comfortable viewing experience for up to 45,000 fans. Their ofcourse will be the addition of up to 19 Pubs and bars and standing room to accommodate the cheaper Wonders members. It should be noted that the Colosseum was relocated from Rome to Wonders HQ in just one piece by a giant sea vessel for convenience.
The Colosseum starting to take shape as a state of the art football stadium.
This move comes just weeks after the club unveiled their new Logo and Guernsey.
